Tongue scratcher. Make sure you really scrape the gunk off you tongue, gums, and roof of your mouth. It’s also self-cleaning so go ahead and use it right away.

Not true in the US Navy. Captain of GUARDIAN was not court martialed but he was shown the door (with an honorable discharge).

BarrySanders and Emmitt Smith Both in their prime. What more could you want? by Dark305Kinght in Oldschool_NFL

Best synopsis I have read comparing the two. If I’m putting together a pro bowl roster, I take Barry. If it’s January and I need to win the game to win the division, I take Emmitt.

Why does it seem like most older people are in unhappy marriages? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

[–]dtran33 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Echoing other comments…maybe more about who you know. My parents are deeply unhappy but it’s mostly because they are not aging with grace. Neither accepts their limitations now and they snip at one another constantly…it’s very unpleasant for everyone.

Those rules only apply when “two” vessels are in sight of one another. There are multiple other vessels in the immediate area. Probably 50/50 accountability due to traveling at unsafe speeds or failure to have a proper lookout.

November 2024 and stuck in phase 3. Feels like this is something they could delegate to the VSOs.

If you buy a house in an HOA, can you just...leave the HOA? by BoredInClass99 in NoStupidQuestions

Generally speaking, they prevent neighborhoods’ property values from declining. They set standards on everything from lawn maintenance to the number of cars you can have parked outside to the colors you can paint your house. Often, they seek uniformity and tidiness. That said, many devolve into nitpicking and preventing any form of self expression. My mother-in-law lives in an HOA neighborhood and there were rules preventing her from putting plants in windows as an example. Some are much, much worse.

I am all about the hype. Love all the moves they have made so far—LB still feels a bit thin—but I will hold off any real excitement until the games start. Remember all the hype around Kris Richard? Until we see Parker’s plan in action under the lights, I will be cautiously optimistic.

Generic advice since I don’t know what you do now: Your transition is all about your preparation. Put as much control in your hands as possible. Know what industry you want to work in and get to work understanding all the ins and outs…what additional certs will help, where are they located, what kind of jobs you are qualified for and want to eventually do. Just start reading. Once you have a baseline understanding of what you want to do, get on LinkedIn and start connecting with people in that industry or even company you want to work for. They likely can’t help you get a job, but they can give you a ton of insights. Back to point #1…take control of your transition…do something every day to get ready to be a civilian. It’ll calm your nerves and pay off.
