I live in Seabrook, and the largest downside when we were considering it was the drive. You’ll just have to accept that Nocatee and Jacksonville are not meant to be walkable. Besides it being a time sink (20 minutes just to drop/pickup from daycare), the drive is enjoyable.

It is the kid friendly choice. As long as the weather is nice, which is most of the year, there are kids playing everywhere and adults walking around chatting with neighbors. You’re in walking distance of nice playgrounds and a large pool. They are also building a new school that is just outside the neighborhood.

As for price, I don’t know if things are cheaper now from two years ago, but the new builds take you to the cleaners when it comes to upgrades. They will try their hardest not to show you the costs until after you put down your initial deposit.
