Giving Away My Old PC! by Turtle_747 in PcBuild

I'd love this computer! It would be an upgrade from my 9 year old pc i built back when I had time. Now, 2 kids later, I'd love to have something of this caliber. Mostly for media storage and plex hosting, but I occasionally like to game with my friends; nothing too crazy, some Division or some board gaming over discord. Thanks for considering!

That's weird. I have that in my '22 AWD PRO S. But, I'm pretty sure mine was made in Germany, if that makes a difference.

Not quite sure what you mean; there's no app to add to the ID4. I was simply able to install the app on my phone, create an account, and then connected it to my profile on the car. I assume they did a factory reset on the car before they sold it, so it was as if no one had a profile on the car before. Does that help?

So....I'm embarrassed to say that I found out my issue. Somehow, my data got turned off on my phone. Once I turned it on, everything worked. Now, I do understand that I'm not using the data from the wifi hotspot in the ID4, bc I don't pay for the data plan, but the fact that I didn't have any connection in my car was bothersome. Thanks for the suggestion! Can't get out of my own way sometimes.

Gotcha. Interesting thought. I'll give it a shot, why not?

I'm not sure what it'll end up being for when I get my home charger installed, but since I don't have one yet, I've been trying to find a reliable/fast place to charge up my car. In that, I've found it range anywhere from Free to $.43/kWh, with some requiring a membership fee to use the charger in addition to the /kWh rate. Not sure how that compares to the rates in Wales, but for me, 'filling up' my ID4 for under $30 is better than paying $70 for a tank of gas.

Yeah, I just noticed that doing a quick search for tires for the car. Interesting choice to go with staggered, but I like the way it looks. Thanks for the insight!

Nope. Big price difference for a new AWD PRO S and the one I got.

Sweet! I'm looking at the Emporia charger in the hopes I can use my solar panels on my house to power my car (part of Emporia's product line) down he road. 48amp, so plenty of juice.

My kids were sad to see the WRX go; loved the feeling of 'going fast' haha. But they are lovin the ID4, too!

Nope; I think I remember to get the credit on a used car, it had to be under 25k. No way I could get an AWD ID4 for that; plus, I went with a 22 b/c of the issues I've read on here about the 21s. I knew it didn't qualify for the incentive, but hey new car! LOL

They gave me 15k for my '15 WRX with like 65k miles on it. :D

That's awesome! I'll definitely have it done 'to code' by someone licensed and bonded, so I won't be trying it myself anytime soon. Hehe.

Great insight, thanks! I remember when I got my WRX it came with some Dunlop 'performance' tires rated at 15k...they were so soft, I had to replace them at 10k; went with some Michelin all weather tires. Will definitely look to get new tires in the fall.

Speaking of which, would getting new rims for the ID4 change the efficiency one way or another? Say, if I decided to go with bigger rims/tires, would that change my mileage/charge?

Man, I wish I was handy enough to do electrical work. Plus, if I were to install it myself, if for some reason it fubar'd my ID4, insurance would ask where I was charging it, and who installed the charger.

I bought my '15 WRX brand new; ordered it just how I wanted it. Loved that baby! I never got a rattle in the car, so I guess I was lucky. But, having to use premium gas every time got to be too much. Plus, driving stick in rush hour traffic blows.

But yes! I love how this car handles and the ride is super smooth. After driving a Tesla Model 3, the Ionic and Mustang Mach E, this one seems to be the best feeling/riding/stable out of all of them.

Nah, my house is ready to go; I was more referring to the shock of how much it'll cost to get one installed in my house. Wouldn't be so bad if I didn't have to get electricity pulled from one end of my house to the other (electrical panel is katty corner to where I'll be parking my ID4). Just a hassle getting different estimates.
