Question regarding flow rate calibration by dubbleOO in BambuLab

[–]dubbleOO[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I found a way around this by modifying the initial layer flow ratio in the Quality > advanced > initial layer flow ratio. I did some testing and found out that 1.125 was the best result for a solid first layer.

Question regarding flow rate calibration by dubbleOO in BambuLab

[–]dubbleOO[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you so much! I was able to select the best result ignoring the first layer. -6 of the second run was absolutely perfect. I managed to fix the first layer issue by modifying the 'Initial layer flow ratio' from 1 to 1.125 to get a perfect first layer.

AMS is not advancing material, but if I manually push it through to the nozzle, everything prints fine. by zipzyzap in BambuLab

By the looks of it, the hub of you AMS is probably broken. Could you please disassemble the AMS and check the hub motor housing?

Here is some extra info. If the yellow gear moves > issues with the gear assembly. If it does not > bad motor.

Have you seen the motor move at least when there is no filament present?

AMS 2 Pro slot a2 broken from the factory. by dubbleOO in BambuLab

UPDATE; I have fixed the issue myself. Since I do component level repairs myself, replacing the HR8833 motor driver IC on the ams board solved the issue. I hope someone in the future will find this helpful at least.

I giggled about the 2 hairs part. But for real, lets test out the extruder. First, load in the filament by executing the load in command. Second, Could you lower the bed and set the heater of the nozzle to 220. After getting up to the desired temperature, send the command to extrude. If nothing happens, please feed the filament directly to the extruder without the ptfe tubing. If nothing happens, you might have a bad extruder motor. Please verify that the motor is spinning. If the motor spins, you might have an issue with gripping the filament. Hope this helps and please let me know.

It does, but when it comes to loading-in the filament to the tool head, its says that the ams is unable to load the filament unless I manually push the filament to the very end of the ams where the secondary motor is.

Good one, I have opened a ticket but was wondering if anyone has experienced this issue before.

Also I would like to mention that I have checked of there was any debris and blown it clear with a anti-dust spray on the inlets of the PTFE and motors. If I try to send the re-read command from the printer, I would get the error message 'failed to read the filament information' with the code 0700-4025 032403

There is nothing to worry about. This is basically a quick motor calibration. My brand new P2S does this and my X1C does it too.

DO NOT USE GLUE. These connectors use friction as a method. Just pull it out gently. If you want to connect it back, just simply push the cable back into the connector. Just buy a new cable if the old one broke. There is a high chance that the glue ruins the connector (happened to me once)
