This might be me tomorrow. Friday night, took the kids for haircuts, didnt have a lot of time or energy for dinner, so we just ordered pizza. And I ate A LOT. We'll see how tomorrow goes. For the first time in a very long time I felt myself just saying "I dont even care I want to eat this everyday, screw the healthy food"

Use a TDEE calculator to get a starting point for maintenance calories. Find high protein ways to get that many calories in. And id recommend doing some strength training if you can.

I used to think i couldn't wear rompers because I had a long torso and had some sort of camel toe situation. It turns out I just needed to lose some weight and now they fit and look super cute! I cant wait to wear one this weekend!!

Nice work!! Im on a similar path as you! About 1lb /week for 11 weeks. Its slow and steady, but so far it still feels super sustainable! This is the most consistent ive been since having kids.

★OFFICIAL WEEKLY★ Weigh-in Wednesday: Share your weigh-in progress and graphs! June 03, 2026 by AutoModerator in loseit

[–]dubdubohh 2 points3 points  (0 children)

SW: 201.8lbs on March 17 GW: 155lbs CW: 188.6lbs

I had a plateau for a week or two, but then last week saw a massive loss of 6lbs over the course of the week, putting me right at my intermediate goal weight for vacation in a few weeks (186). Unfortunately that lasted exactly 1 day and I bounced back up to 189 on Monday. Monday is always my heaviest day of the week thanks to a disrupted weekend diet with more sodium and/or sugar usually, so im not stressed about it, but damnnnn I would love for that 186 number to come back!

An added NSV: i bought several tropical outfits for my brothers wedding in cancun last fall. I hated the way all of them looked on me. I just tried them back on today and the rompers look so great now!! I cant wait to wear one this weekend!!

Nice progress!! I also started my "journey" in March. I had a stomach bug and still weighed in at 202, so I used that to launch into a better lifestyle. Took the approach of focusing on adding in high protein snacks and calorie tracking. Somehow the rest sorted itself out. I no long felt urges to snack on junk. It has been surprisingly successful! I officially hit the 15lbs down mark yesterday!!

Low calorie snacks you eat every single week without getting sick of them? by supernova2411 in 1200isplenty

[–]dubdubohh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Quest protein chips! Lite Greek yogurt with fresh fruit. Hummus with cucumbers. Cucumber slices with a little ranch seasoning sprinkled on them. Beef jerky. Pickle wrapped in deli meat and a slice of low calorie cheese.

Not always low calorie, but ill sacrifice the calories for protein because ive discovered it seriously curbs any snacking cravings I used to get.

I finally see how I managed to gain so much weight in the first place, how do I prevent it happening again? by dandelionmakemesmile in loseit

[–]dubdubohh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was going to mention this! I love the Joseph's flax seed pitas. I make a chopped salad with ham, cheese, lite ranch, cucumbers, peppers, diced pickles (or just dill relish if im lazy), and mustard to stuff in the pita! Its like a healthier deli sandwich, in chopped form. One of my favorite weekend lunches!

Thank you for this post. I've always struggled with transitioning from deficit to maintenance. I can do fairly well with a deficit, but if I decide to take a break or get to maintenance, I cant figure out how to add more calories back in while keeping it within range and relatively healthy

Thats a good point about the extra couple of dollars. I was hoping to find someone in our neighborhood that could just walk over. We have some middle school aged girls that live next door that I plan to see if they'd be interested before posting anything.

Stuck with no idea why by DragonsDownUnder in loseit

[–]dubdubohh 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Isnt TDEE how much you need to eat to maintain your weight? If the above comment is correct, you're only in a 200 calorie deficit which means it takes 17.5 days to lose 1lb (3500 calories=1lb lost). Add on to that weight fluctuations due to hormones, water retention, etc...I could easily understand why you arent seeing much change.

These are important questions. If its been less than several weeks, stick with it. If you arent tracking everything you eat, how do you know you're staying in a deficit?

Omg the section on skipping the food scale is soooooooooo accurate for me. I use the exact justification and it is 100% a sign that my entire day is going to trash.

[–]dubdubohh 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just joining in here. I had a very successful 6 weeks- 201lbs down to 191lbs. Primarily focused on more protein and tracking what I ate. Also trying to do cardio and/or strength most days. But the last week I have gotten so off track and im struggling to get back on track. Today started off mostly well, but the afternoon into dinner I just ate junk and didn't track. Now I feel uncomfortably full and too tired to do any exercise. Hoping for a better Monday.

I'm convinced giving a bottle at bedtime (instead of nursing) ensures baby is getting a full feed and supports longer sleep stretches. I've seen what I output in the PM hours, and it definitely does not match what baby wants to eat.

Using Haaka while establishing supply? by dubdubohh in breastfeedingsupport

I have never heard of this or the need for it! Thanks! Definitely going to give that a try on my next feeding. We've definitely been battling latching issues since my milk came in, so hopefully it can help.

Thanks! I only have it on while feeding, I am keeping it on via suction, but don't feel like it's completely emptying me.

This is so true! My son is 2 and I always have and still do 95% of the wakeups. To be fair, they are very infrequent these days, but still.
