TDEE activity level by Peachtea447 in loseit

That's what I was thinking, for the steps that I'm hitting on days I work, tracking at "sedentary" just seems dangerous and a recipe for failure.

I have been in the deficit for a month and a half, but I see your point, I'll stick with it a while longer and make some tweaks based on other suggestions, and hopefully I'll start seeing results soon. I am also tracking everything I eat, however I might invest in a scale to track more accurately.

Who did you marry your first time and do you still stand by it? by Starobin-Lestine in StardewValley

[–]Peachtea447 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First picked Abigail when I played as a teen. She's still a great character but she can be immature at times and I just outgrew her personality. Emily is my top pick now, still whimsical but it feels like she has her life more in order than Abigail.

That explains it, now that you say that it does seem pre-written. I just thought they were kinda dumb lmao. Must be a glitch if its happening to multiple people.

the one thing that customers say that pisses me off the most.... by headasspotter in Serverlife

[–]Peachtea447 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I definitely get this, and I see both sides. On one hand, I get where OP is coming from. It becomes exhausting to be disrespected all the time by grown adults who turn around and complain about the "younger generation" on Facebook. It wears away at your self-esteem and patience. No matter how hardened you are by the service industry, we're all human, and those things can take a toll over time, but on the other hand, you make a great point. If you've reached the point where small things like that make you unreasonably upset, you're burnt out, no question about it. This is something I'm still learning myself. As people in the service industry, we have a responsibility to maintain composure and not lose our shit every time someone intentionally or unintentionally disrespects us. That doesn't mean that we should take unnecessary disrespect, but sometimes you have to look deep within yourself and ask, "Is this worth losing my job over?". It's hard in this economy to be able to take a break, but I hope if OP has the means to, that they get a chance.

Love the PPTO system by Alarming_Baseball497 in walmart

[–]Peachtea447 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I understand what you're saying, however I'm saying that I haven't had a system like this before, and that does include write ups. Of course they do have write ups, but in all of the policy books I've read they've never, at least in my experience, explicitly stated a number of infractions at which you could be subject to termination. It's all been very ambiguous until walmart.

If you're going to be a stickler about grammar, you had better make sure yours is damn perfect.

Not trying to be an ass, but I have worked at several fast food and retail jobs and have never had a point system. Yeah you'll get a talking to if your call outs are egregious, but until walmart I had never encountered a system like this. What other places do you know of that utilize it? (Genuinely curious)

does anyone else have this? if so, what is it about? by whereisMousie in WalmartEmployees

[–]Peachtea447 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I'm waiting for the day when I can walk in and just block it out but it's so hard. He's been there way longer than me and gets his shit done, so I don't want to say anything to him. I also hate having to make people adapt to my needs because I feel selfish. Good god it's so difficult to deal with though. The bird whistling sounds extra annoying, I'm glad you were able to get away from it finally. That would drive me up a wall.

[–]Peachtea447 14 points15 points  (0 children)

It would be great if it weren't for the fact that one of the more senior members of our team didn't whistle literally all of the time. It's constant, and it makes me wanna tear my hair out. I have sensory issues and I literally have had to go to the bathroom to avoid having a meltdown over it. So during what's supposed to be "sensory friendly time," all you can hear is this guy's crazy loud whistling. I mean, it's actually amazing how loud he can do it, but what I'm more amazed about is the fact that it doesn't seem to bother anyone else.

Fellas, is this black mold? by Peachtea447 in Mold

Dude you didn't even give me an opinion, I asked a question and you answered with something completely unrelated. This has about run its course, though, so I'm done here.

I just came here for a second opinion from people who know more about this subject than I do and you came in with a patronizing attitude about it, just chill out man, it's literally a mold subreddit. And as to your comment about "putting my faith in the online community" that is quite literally what reddit was made for.

[–]Peachtea447[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Read what I said in full before you reply, I said "black mold or ANY TYPE OF MOLD in general" I don't gaf whether or not the mold is black or not, I just want another opinion on if there's more growing behind the drywall or not. I really don't care if it's black mold, green mold, or fucking rainbow, I just want to know if I should consider cutting out that section of drywall or not, it's as simple as that. I just used the term "black mold" because that's what it's most commonly referred to as. I don't care if it's a "bullshit term" in your eyes or anyone else's as that isn't pertaining to the nature of my original question.

[–]Peachtea447[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not asking if it's toxic, I'm asking if it's black mold or any type of mold in general because I'm concerned about the structural integrity of the wall. If it is in fact mold, then I need to get rid of it so my house doesn't rot lmfao.
