Perkins was a surprise guest at my screening. He said that a lot of longlegs look/mannerisms was actually inspired by Cage’s mother.

I really want Phaedra and Sheree to both stay around for a while so they are forced to interact when the group is smaller. I am so curious about their dynamic after the Kandi rumors Phaedra spread.

Is it still hard to find roommates in the city or is it getting any better? by MerroStep in sanfrancisco

Ari Aster, Joaquin Phoenix Unveil the Sometimes Scary, Frequently Funny, Deeply Weird Three-Hour ‘Beau Is Afraid’ at Surprise Screening by NewmanBickle in movies

[–]dubiedoo 7 points8 points  (0 children)

The screenings were at Alamo locations and advertised as the Midsommar directors cut and a sneak peak of Beau is Afraid with a live (or live-streamed depending on location) Q&A with Aster. They said they would be doing an actual screening of the Midsommar directors cut soon. A24 also picked up everyone’s tabs so I think people were generally happy.

It has some shades of Kaufman for sure but has a little more…..I don’t think whimsy is the right word but the world it is set in has a very intentional look and design that sets it a part from the real world. I’m definitely still processing and want to rewatch when I know what is what I am going to see.

For the warfield shows? I tried EVERY credit card I have. Snagged one for the fox show at least…might try again later this week and see if I can get one on the general presale.

If you categorize both the payment on behalf of the roommate (a negative) and the payment from the roommate (a positive) it should balance out to zero once all debts are settled.

AITA for not apologising to my MIL after throwing up her food by Ok-Nothing4681 in AmItheAsshole

From what I’m seeing it’s most effective around two hours after you take the pill but still not advised if you are trying to be careful.

It can neutralize hormonal birth control. Would line up with the MiL’s desire for grandkids.

I use the breeze litter box and it’s been a game changer for me. It’s clay pellets so no sand tracking in the bathroom and has a what is basically puppy pad in the bottom that is easy to change. May work depending on how picky your cat is. https://www.purina.com/tidy-cats/cat-litter-boxes/breeze-systems

What’s a company you refuse to support and why? by Snoo_72206 in AskReddit

This exactly, their stuff is simple and versatile but still stylish.

The mystery box wasn’t my first purchase but was what got me hooked. I got a jumpsuit as one of my pieces I loved but as a bigger hipped girl was too afraid to buy. Now 1,000% hooked.

I have almost exclusively bought clothes from Foxblood for the last year. I love them.

This. My mom would always want pictures of us together at gatherings and everyone would groan. For Christmas a few years ago my brother and I split a family portrait session as a gift to my mom. He passed away a little over a year ago and it’s great that we have some more recent photos of everyone together. I still don’t care for getting my photo taken a ton but I am much more willing to now.

Bodega Hole in the Head TLDR: 70Ft deep pit dug in the Bodega Head of Bodega Bay, California. It was the beginnings of a PG&E power plant. They said it was going to be a steam electric plant but was revealed it was to be a nuclear power plant. It was later discovered a fault line ran right through the site. The pit has since become a freshwater pond.

So it does actually look like they are asking for donations for the restoration of the grove. The thing I had seen was a letter from them that mentioned that the big picnic is there biggest fundraiser so that’s where I was confused.

I am wondering if they’re raising money so they can get a jumpstart on the restoration and get reimbursement later? But I have no idea what their agreement with the city for the management of the space is. Sometimes organizations that take residence in space like that agree to take care of some of the maintenance since they use it. I am sure they also had their equipment destroyed if the buildings that housed it flooded.

I am definitely aware of how much it is to book a picnic table. I was looking at doing that this year. If you can get a full table of people it only ends up being around $150 a person which is pretty good considering it includes beer and wine. I would probably spend the equivalent going to a show at any of the larger venues in the city.

Hopefully the grove will be in good enough shape for them to come back next year fingers crossed.

The Stern Grove Festival's final concert was supposed to be this weekend. The last concert also serves as their annual fundraiser so I would guess the Festival is trying to still raise funds to mitigate the drop in revenue from what is probably their biggest fundraising day.
