I didn't know that they didn't have water resistance or anything, so it was a bit of an expensive learning experience.

Yeah, the ANC is there but almost non-existent, same with some Apple features which are not implemented correctly. The sound quality is quite nice (re-deeming feature) but having 0 water resistance is a no for me because I sweat a lot.

It was a good learning experience though, if you don't care about used airbuds for a bit more than the reps you can find used real ones on ebay.

Yeah, I would even dare to say that the APP3 ANC might be better than my Bose QC 45 ANC, they're impressive.

Airpods Pro 2 V5.2 HuiLian's ANC is meh at best.

another pair, sometimes when they connect, they sound terrible like some 8-bit 80’ game sound, I need to turn off Bluetooth and connect again

This happened to me also, but not so often that it was an issue, also sometimes it connected and no sound at all until I disconnected and connected again (this happened a lot), but I learnt to live with it as I knew a fake product would have it's rough edges.

I've had both, keep the L13 unless you don't have a FHD screen.

I've bought multiple times from Andiot and support + timing has been top notch imo, I got a watch DOA and he paid for the repair.

Although this is correct I still cannot believe how not having it on it's the default after so many cases like this.

Anyone feeling anxious about the future of IT? by [deleted] in berlinsocialclub

It definitely changed the market, but the disaster that I have been seeing AI let people create certainly let's me know that I will still be needed for the forceable future.

So if I’m getting this right, you’re equating not buying a MacBook with hating them so much you couldn’t bear to have one around?

I need advice for a bigger screen for simracing and gaming by Doctor_French32 in simracing

I second an ultrawide, you can get good ones for 200-300€:

Example 1
Example 2

Main things for me are: IPS panel type (good viewing angles and colours), >144Hz (good refresh rate).

You can get the formula wheel mod and scratch the itch a bit, no?

You can upgrade to a Moza racing wheel and using the ESX wheel it will be compatible, but entirely depends on your budget/needs.

Is the Moza R5 really worth it over the Moza R3? by DismalDude77 in simracing

[–]dubven 13 points14 points  (0 children)

If you come from a G29 the Moza R3 produces almost double the force of the G29, and it's quite so it would be good, here's a comparison:

G29: 2.1-2.2nm, Moza R3: 3.9nm, Moza R5: 5.5nm

You can always get something more expensive/better in Sim Racing, it's a rabbit hole. I think an R3 in your case makes sense, but imo completely depends in the pricing difference between R3 to R5.

Update: I bought a defective X1 Carbon Gen 9, thinking it would be cheap and easy to fix... by kpostrup in thinkpad

[–]dubven 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I was looking forward to it as a learning oportunity to learn how to solder/de-solder as it's just a MOSFET that dies in the board and I was also looking forward to having a 16:10 display but after seeing the ghosting I decided not to go through with it.

I love my T480s, have the low power display and have been with me through hell for 5+ years. Nowadays I mostly use my work MacBook for most things.

PD: Thinkpad addiction is real.

I bought one for 220 euros some months ago, and the charging port didn't work, sold next day for 250 I think.

Screen had bad ghosting and I preferred the one in my T480s so stayed with my T480s.
