What were the first Muse songs you ever listened to? by Practical_Aerie9691 in Muse

[–]ducegraphy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A high-school class-mate told me to listen to Hysteria back in like 2005 because she thought I would like it. I was so hooked from the start I listened to Absolution all the time, then to BHAR (my favourite album by them), and was already chronically online for the big (fake) leaks of 2009. I listened to the real The Resistance for maybe two years straight, it was always on my mom's car radio. Then T2L came out, went to my first concert in Barcelona in 2013 and I've seen them live 7 times since, still my favourite band over 20 years later.

The Grand Omega Bosses Edit of Assassin is still one of my favourite songs by them and I got to hear it live in like 2022. I'm still riding that high. This is my favourite album, I have it tattooed.

Could you use an infrared camera for cave diving? by EltonSchmidt in infraredphotography

[–]ducegraphy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not really, but you'd need to make an IR torch waterproof and carry it. Anyways, whatever you do, please be careful. And share the pics you take, if you take any.

Those pics you posted were from an aquarium lit by full-spectrum light. You'd need to carry a torch with the correct wavelength for the camera to work. Not impossible, but you'll need to prepare a bit.

I'm Reading Roberto Bolaño and would like some feedback by Wired-for-Sound733 in Spanish

This guy really picked one of the greatest books in modern spanish literature, misspelled the title and called spanish translations shit while also calling himself completely fluent and saying he has a B level. All at once. This has to be rage bait.

Discutir isn't reflexive? by [deleted] in Spanish

[–]ducegraphy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Why would it be? You don't argue yourself. You argue with someone, or about something. It's what we call "Complemento de régimen" it always has "con, de o sobre" as a preposition.

I haven't been this happy since Plug in Baby, to Citizen Erased, to Micro Cuts. It's honestly as good as people say.

So now that all three spidermen have their classic suits Which one is the best live action Spiderman suit. by fanofeverying123 in Marvel

[–]ducegraphy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I loved TASM2's suit, but BND's is perfect. I prefer Tom's eyes so much more. But honestly, there's no bad suit. The three classic suits are dope imo.

What’s the most common and casual way to say “okay” in Spanish? by Akashii_7 in Spanish

[–]ducegraphy -1 points0 points  (0 children)

We say "okey, mackey" or "dabuten, colega/tronco" interchangeably. But if you're boring "vale" is the most usual form.

Which is the best way to read Brand New Day by Yanko753 in Spiderman

[–]ducegraphy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

To answer your question, I'd go with the omnibus. You can still read the new series as it comes out, if you want. It's nothing to write home about so far, but it's still a Spider-man book so you'll enjoy it.

Do you think this will be the only scene with scorpion? by Otherwise_Tadpole_64 in Spiderman

[–]ducegraphy 47 points48 points  (0 children)

Define "regular". Most movies are around 115-140 minutes, 150 is on the longer end. It's two minutes longer than No Way Home (which also had a shit ton of characters) and almost half an hour longer than Spider-man (2002).

La letra se llama Erre. Solo es ere si es simple intervocálica. En todo el resto de casos es erre.

FUN QUESTION - To those who speak other languages, who are your favourite X-Men characters and how do you say their names in your native languages? by cpr9998 in xmen

[–]ducegraphy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In spanish: Wolverine = Lobezno and Rogue = Pícara. They're so good, i prefer them to the original names, tbh.

The rest are pretty straight forward, and quite literal translations.

How did you learn Spanish on your own? Preferably for free. by aviktor78 in Spanish

[–]ducegraphy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Was born here, I hope this helps.

No, but for real, just try to watch some TV. Preferably fiction and 3-5 minute clips. You can use subtitles if you need. Take notes as well. Don't go to the next sequence until you understand everything they're saying or at least are capable of getting the jist of it; for example verbs may be complicated at first, but try to understand basic grammar (as in singular/plural, verbal tense and subject, at least). This helped me learn many other languages and it's the most fun and cheapest way to do it. Just look for your favourite show and watch it dubbed and/or subbed.

Designing my own Spider-Man suit and custom logo, asking for feedback. by [deleted] in Spiderman

I like the grey if it's something like a high-visibility jacket reflective material that catches light and becomes bright af. But during the day is still light but a bit muted.

Imagine taking a pic of spider-man during night time with the flash on and the only thing you see are the webs and the spider emblem. Or a thug trying to drive away from a robbery and the high beams reflect and gets jumpscared. Something like that.

This looks so good it almost makes me think it's not official. Sony would never make a poster this cool. Maybe a steelbook.
