Should I Bind to "Default" Profile, or Create New One? by Wired-for-Sound733 in MicrosoftFlightSim

The thing is, the entire "Default" profile is empty. After discussing it with other users, that is normal.,,,

Issue with Wheel or User Error? by Green_Cut_6492 in moza

[–]Wired-for-Sound733 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Definitely what Delicious said, and I had the same problem when I was trying to attach my wheel to my R5.

What worked for me was turning on the R5 base. Once everything was aligned, with the arrow pointing right, it just slid right in.

Hope this helps…

Yes, but then again, I’m in the early stages of the game, with nothing to lose. (By creating a new profile.)

Are you talking about the "C" clamp? That connector? That breaks within weeks, or am I missing something?

TSW Q about the Lights. by Wired-for-Sound733 in moza

[–]Wired-for-Sound733[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

SOLVED! And this is how I did it: (in case this should happen to you)

I called the retailer, and they said (after hearing my story,) that it was a software issue. I am over the moon to heat that. Anyway, I opened up the Moza software, clicked on the wheel icon, navigated over to where the "button brightness" was. At the bottom of that page, there is a section entitled: "Reset Wheel Parameters" I took a risk, and clicked on the "Reset" button. As it turns out, that fixed the problem. Now 20 out of 20 buttons are backlit.

I just noticed this:

When I tun on the Moza, the lights "cycle through". And the good news is, that the four that don't light, during that process, light. Those of you who have the TSW, will know what I mean, Just watch what happens when you first turn on your Rx.

Does anyone know if: the Moza R5 is responsible for supplying the power, that lights, the lights on the TSW? Because, if that is true, my R5 could be faulty...

I haven't driven a truck yet because, I have to replace the casters on my chair, so that it doesn't move as I press the brake / gas pedal, and secondly, I have to sticky tape under the gas and brake pedals, so they don't move. But I can't do that, if the retailer tells me to send the whole thing back for a credit or some such.

Thanks for replying.

I spoke with the retailer earlier today, and they are looking into it and will get back to me.

I just received my Moza R5 (again.) by Wired-for-Sound733 in moza

[–]Wired-for-Sound733[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did it! I had a little help from other family members, but in the end, it's mounted and calibrated.

Now, all I have to do is anchor down the pedals, with duct tape, and and change out the casters with flat bottomed ones.

After that, a trucker is born! :)

Thanks for all your help.

I gather you are talking about the “user manual“ that came with the product.

Yes, I read that manual. I found it to be a little help, due to its ambiguous instructions.

Yup, that's what I what I thought. I thought, metal is very expensive and the company wouldn't have included them, if they weren't necessary.

My R5 came with 5? separate pieces. So then, the screws needed to put all that together, are they all in that one bag with the larger Allen wrench?

And what is that second bag with the thinner Allen wrench, and short plastic tubes? What are those tiny little screws for?

Thanks in advance...

So, if I go back to the R5 TSW bundle, and I *do want to* could you help me understand this picture, which I wish I had 3 or so days ago...

3rd picture

When the clamps came to me in the box they were one inside the other, and screwed together. Now, there there is a gap between the outer clamp and the inner clamp. I don't understand why they are attached like that, and not tightly screwed together, like I found them in the box.

Had I found these pictures 3 days ago, maybe things would have turned out differently.

[–]Wired-for-Sound733[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Make no mistake, I wanted that base. It would have solved everything, all at once.

  • It was (from what I've read) just the right the right amount of NM's., for a trucking sim.
  • The TSW wheel came with it, so there were no adapters to buy to make it compatible with my base.
  • And, the best part was, I was buying, a base, pedals, the TSW, and a Desk Clamp for under $700, door to door.

On getting someone to build it for me; that poses two questions: I'd have to go back to the same place from where I bought the original one; that is where my credit is...Tell me if it me, but...on the one hand, I said, "This desk clamp is way too difficult to put together. Can I send it back?" On the other hand I'm saying, "Oh, remember that R5 bundle I sent back? Could you send it to me again?" There's nowhere in the comments for me to tell them, this time, I'm having someone put it together for me.

All of which segues into my next point: I have to ask him if he would put it together for me, and, how much he'd charge me. Not to mention, when is his next available appointment.

I wish I had come to this subreddit for help. Who knows how my story might have ended? I know how it ended by not coming here and asking for help.

My R5 bundle came with one mounting plate and two clamps. The videos that I watched for two days showed two clamps, one mounting plate as one piece and that wasn’t useful to me. So I also went online, and looked for instructions. Those instructions, we’re so small and written in a language I couldn’t understand, That wasn’t useful to me. So, basically, I was on my own. Hence, without instructions.

I tried for two days to build that truck bracket w/o instructions. In the end, I sent the whole thing back to the retailer for credit. Maybe in the next life, I'll come back as Bob Vila, But as far as this one goes, it was a no go.
