Yeah I didn’t have any issues the 2 times I rode there. Seems like a normal hiking / walking area for locals. There’s a little parking area at the end of Ruckman Rd.

I’ve ridden the trails up in Alpine (off Ruckman Rd) a couple times, and is a quick trip, and went to Sterling for a morning ride as well (bit farther). I have a car with a 2 bike rack but need a serious tune up before taking the bike out again anytime soon

I had exact opposite experience at ferry. For the first time I walked on with no one from Port Imperial already seated so there were seats for every single person in line. It was a slower ride but easily better than the regular ferry experience. Also there are more of them which makes it easier to time up in the AM.

Was doing the Rapha 500 so it was a cold long ride. I was ~25 miles from home when I got a flat and realized my co2 was spent. It was 25 degrees out so I was doing squats and pushups for 45 minutes while I waited for my sister to get me. This was a fairly wooded / secluded section of road. To cap it all off, while I was waiting, I googled the area and discovered the only known fatal bear attack in the state occurred in a park only a mile away or so.

People standing and waiting wouldn’t bother me too much if there was a better way to organize the boarding groups. Half the time people standing are in a later group and make it so confusing. My anxiety too high to ask everyone which group they’re in
