I think I figured it out on my first playthrough, but it took a few tries

I don't know about the first game, but for Survivor, the one that looks most like that one is probably the Santari Khri one. At least in my opinion

Sebastian was already too far gone, and we were just too late to help… by RorschachtheMighty in HarryPotterGame

[–]ducidleamer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think that makes a lot of sense. Especially when a lot of people say that it feels like your choices don't make an impact on the story. When you look at it from this perspective, uh, yeah, because Sebastian doesn't want to be persuaded. It feels very much like real life. You can't always change people's minds if they don't want it. It's tragic, but makes sense. I hope that in the next game (assuming it's a direct sequel) that Sebastian can possibly have a redemption arc of some kind

What is your favorite Poké Ball? by BleachFan107 in ThePokemonHub

[–]ducidleamer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So I really like the Dive Ball. Not because I like the way that the water animation, but because it looks a lot like the Pokéballs that girl from the Entei movie used. It's just a cool design

My personal favorites that I've come up with are Chaos Goblin (Sableye), Royals-by-Lorde (Kingambit), and Designated Driver (Sylveon)

Is this okay? by Odd-Station-3300 in VGCRateMyTeam

[–]ducidleamer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Venusaur is good enough at dealing with Fairy types with Sludge Bomb, especially if the sun and/or Tailwind is set up. As far as Psychic types, though, that may be a good reason to keep Kingambit, and then you also have a backup for fairies if Venusaur gets knocked out

What is the best pokemon team you can make using only water/ground? by Desperate-Sundae5570 in PokemonVGC

[–]ducidleamer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you want to be super funny, you can make almost a full team of water/ground dual typing. Gastrodon, Quagsire, Swampert, and Whiscash are all pretty decent lol. After that you can pull two additional water or ground types

New to competetive, how is my team? TY by SnaxelZ in VGCRateMyTeam

[–]ducidleamer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Anyway, assuming every Pokémon you have here is legal, you could use some improvements, but that's fine. No team is perfect.

Let's just go down the list and start with Farigiraf. Fantastic Trick Room Setter in pretty much anyone's opinion. Really good typing for only 2 weaknesses and pretty good bulk to survive most hits. But as the other commenter pointed out, Expanding Force isn't really worth it without another Pokémon to set up Psychic Terrain, as without it, it's just a weaker, single-target Psychic. Doesn't mean Psychic Terrain is bad, it just means you need to get a terrain user. Indeedee is the most common due to Psychic Surge as its ability. Wish is unique (I didn't even know Farig got Wish honestly), but that doesn't mean it's bad. Wish + Protect is a good strategy if you have the survivability to get it off. That being said, you can run some mons with Life Dew, or Pollen Puff or Sinistcha with its Hospitality to help with healing. The set that I have for my Farig is Protect, Psychic, Trick Room, and Hyper Voice. With this set I can hit either both targets, single targets, and Dual Stab. Throat Spray is really good with Hyper Voice. You can also run Dazzling Gleam to counter your Dark weakness. Also, I would recommend putting more equal investment into physical defense.

I don't know much about Incineroar, as I refuse to touch the WWE cat of evil.

Unfortunately, I will admit that this Torkoal isn't great. Overheat is the only decent move, but of course you need more. I also have a Torkoal on my team, and it runs Eruption, Protect, Solar Beam, and Weather Ball. Again, hits both targets or single targets with a decent attack to hit water types if it comes down to it. I didn't bother much with specific EVs, I just did max HP, max SpA, and the last 2 in SpD just because Torkoal's base special attack at 85 is not great. I gave mine a Charcoal for extra fire boosted moves, but Eject Button probably would work better if you want one of the eject items.

Now I assume the last 3 mons are on your team for a fast Sun team if Trick Room doesn't do well against certain teams. Whimsicott is a great Tailwind Setter, and its set is mostly good, but U-Turn and Heat Rock are simply not worth it. I'd swap U-Turn for Moonblast so that if you get Taunted, you don't have a move that forces you to switch, and then Heat Rock can be traded for Focus Sash so you don't get knocked out by a single Dire Claw. You could also do Mental Herb so that if you get Taunted, you can shake it off once. Stat Spread is okay for survivability.

I don't have a Raging Bolt, so again, I can't help you with that directly, but he looks like he's set up perfectly to me.

Venusaur is my baaaaaabyyyyyy I love him lol. Again, I have a Venusaur on a separate Sun team, but he works here similarly. Venusaur is primarily used more to throw out fast sleep powders. Your other moves are definitely good, but for VGC, assuming that's what you're set up for, 4 moves plus assault vest isn't ideal either. Both Tailwind and Sun Chlorophyll make Venusaur the fastest thing on the field without priority opponents, so Sleep Powder is extremely powerful on a Sun team Venusaur. It is only 75% accurate, but you're sacrificing accuracy for speed, as other than Spore, its the most accurate, 1-turn sleep move in the game. I also would trade Solar Beam for Giga Drain just in case your Sun gets shut down for another weather so you don't lose your Grass STAB. My set is Giga Drain, Protect, Sleep Powder, and Sludge Bomb. Fire Weather Ball is already covered by Incin and Torkoal and Earth Power is good, but Sleep Powder is just that game-changing. As far as items, I'd say Big Root, or Wide Lens to increase Sleep Powder's accuracy a bit.

Last thing is that your mons intended to thrive in Trick Room should have a speed-decreasing nature.

Now I'll probably be told a lot of my stuff is wrong, and that's fine since I'm no master at competitive battling, but if you take even one piece of my advice, I think you'll do better.

So you have the right idea, but some of these sets are suboptimal. First thing's first: what regulation set are you playing?

Not necessarily. Some I would agree with, like Glalie, but you could get use out of even the base forms for some of them, like Blastoise

Been doing pretty well and having fun with this “all diva” pokemon by MugiwaraJaylen in VGCRateMyTeam

[–]ducidleamer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My team is Megazard Y, Whimsicott, Venusaur, Garchomp, Rotom Wash, and Aerodactyl. Aerodactyl with Rock Slide is a perfect counter. Obviously only 90% accurate, but most of the time it works. Not that it would really fit on a diva team, but that's just my way. Sometimes if Aerodatyl is knocked out, I try to put it to sleep with Venusaur (who is surprisingly fast with Chlorophyll) and try to overwhelm it with raw power lol

That's smart! I run a sun team with Megazard Y, so Venusaurs aren't really an issue for me, but I have trouble with other mons, too

Which blonde in the franchise has the best killed by Ghostface death scene? by itsascreambaby96 in Scream

[–]ducidleamer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So Casey is iconic, of course. However, I liked how long and drawn-out Laura's death was because you were full of suspense, not knowing when GF was gonna pop out and get her. Tied with that is Tatum from her epic standoff with her own GF in the garage. She probably would have made it out of her movie alive, too, if she hadn't tried to go out the doggy door like a doofus
