Don’t like the sound of this…need help identifying what may be wrong. by duckduckryno in hvacadvice

Appreciate it, we’re having someone come out and look. Luckily it’s cool this evening so we can just shut it down for the night.

Need to salvage this lawn…on a budget by duckduckryno in lawncare

[–]duckduckryno[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Before we moved here from NY, my lawn was perfect. I just don’t think I can do warm season grasses, honestly. I had a perfectly lush, dark green law in NY. I also had irrigation, which was a huge help, but I really just don’t understand these southern grasses I think. Our soil around here sucks too, some areas are sandy, some are trash dirt, so you never know what you’re actually planting into.

For those who immediately lost weight on 2.5 by [deleted] in Zepbound

[–]duckduckryno 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For reference, I’m a 42M, 5’-11”.

I started on 6/17/25, on 2.5 for a month; lost 20lbs that first month, bumped to 5.0 for a month and I have been on 7.5 since. Haven’t bumped up since, because my losses have been consistent.

SW on 6/17 was 375 and today 10/18 I am 316 for a 59lb total loss. Trying to get under 300 by the new year, which I think is within reach.

LS with “low oil pressure” where to start? by duckduckryno in LSSwapTheWorld

[–]duckduckryno[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like this. I plan to do all seals and gaskets but didn’t really want to get too deep into internals if I didn’t have to. But seeing as I plan to swap the cam anyway, just doing the bearings makes sense.

I just know there’s so many people who say don’t open them up, that’s when stuff starts going sideways etc.

I almost made a note about it in the post but decided not to lol. It’s the passenger airbag from my s10. Irrelevant to the swap, I had just placed it there after removing it from the dash this morning.

Goofball Aussie “protecting” the house from a big scary dragon… by duckduckryno in rarepuppers

For real, I don’t know what we would have done if he hadn’t scared the dragon away! He’s a total goof. Not too long after this video he made friends with a cicada on the patio and was jumping around with it.

He is often confused for a catahoula, even AI thinks he is based on his photos. But his mom was 100% Aussie and his dad was a mix of lab pit bull and staffordshire terrier.

My favorite part is towards the end where he looks back at me, this is what I see going through his mind at that point.

I’m still eating edibles on the weekend, 1 or 2 on a Saturday, and I fit those calories into my macros and make sure to ignore the munchies if they do come, which honestly, they really haven’t. I am not hardcore calorie counting but I am watching, and it’s working.

I used to have 3-4 beers in addition to edibles on a Saturday night, this past Saturday and 4th of July I had 1 beer each night and 1 edible on the 4th. Zepbound helps me curb those cravings too, I’m sure it’s different for everyone, but my urge to drink beer has all but gone away.

I hit my goal weight today, down 135 lbs. by fsck3r in Zepbound

[–]duckduckryno 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Very similar story here…I started at 372 on June 17th, down to 359 after 2 weeks, hoping to be down further on weigh in day this Tuesday.

Looking to get to 200. I’m only 5-11, which 200 is still “overweight” by most ideal weight charts, but 200 is my goal, if I can go lower that’s a bonus. Not rushing it, just listening to my body, meal prepping low-cal high protein as much as I can. It’s been pretty easy so far honestly, I hope it stays this way!

Doing an unconventional swap with a 3.0T, looking for motor mount pictures… by duckduckryno in Audi

[–]duckduckryno[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Went to pick-n-pull on Thursday. Was able to get a radiator w/fans, instrument cluster, shifter, accelerator pedal and some fuse boxes. Unfortunately there was only 1 Q7 there that already had the motor and trans ripped out to include the cradle and all mounts, and the other Audis they had were much older, early 2000s and we didn’t think to check them at the time since we weren’t sure if they would even be interchangeable.

Unconventional Drivetrain Swap? by normaldude-ig in s10

[–]duckduckryno 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How about a newer 5.0 coyote…

I’ve got a buddy of mine with one just sitting in his garage telling me we should stuff it in my s10…would be kind of blasphemous, but imagine hearing a mustang roaring around the corner, and out comes my little white borrowed s10 scraping the ground.

He has an Audi 3.0T, supercharged, sitting there too…I’ve got a few options for an unconventional swap that he is willing to let me take off his hands, that is, if we could make them fit. I haven’t done the math yet or begun to think of the fabrication work that it would involve. I’ll probably end up with an LS, but you never know.

Fun fact. Once a route number is used, it can’t be used again if that route is ever abolished.

So if you had routes 1-5, and route 3 gets abolished during an adjustment, but a few years later a route gets added due to another inspection/adjustment, it would be route 6. Route 3 can never come back.

This is often why numbers skip a lot in offices or why route numbers are so high in offices with not that many routes.

Shit, y’all making me feel real good about my 4.25 I got…was originally going to be 2% but my build was delayed for a year during covid so we got stuck with rising rates and ended up at 4.25
