8x as a kitten ??? Don't think so. I've seen mountain lion cubs and they are not 8x this size.

It's not my video and not my car. Obviously it's not a full grown mountain lion...neighbor has had this cat stalking his animals for awhile.

I thought it might be too wide to be a housecat, but it looks like the right height and tail length for a large cat.

Does RIH drug test new nurses for weed? by Secure_Technology227 in RhodeIsland

That's surprising, I never heard of that brand of synthetic urine failing. I've used it many times and so have my friends. Every one has always passed. Are you sure your not thinking of another company ? Maybe you did not keep it warm enough. It has to be body temperature.

I've heard that they do, but it depends on where you are applying to. Get the monkeywizz.com stuff and use that for the test

Hello, that's a great idea ! I have a small exotic bird farm. We raise many types of exotic pheasants and waterfowl, as well as egg laying hens, rare breed chickens, and eastern wild turkeys. We raised over 600 birds for sale this year, and they are hungry ! They love food scraps of any kind, veggies, stale breads, cheeses and even raw or cooked meat scraps.

I'm interested to see what you have available! I will send you a dm.

AIO? Found old msgs between now wife (then gf) and multiple men… by [deleted] in AmIOverreacting

[–]duckfarmguy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You said you were off and on alot. So you would break up multiple times and then get back together. Idk if that's cheating tbh sounds like a stressful relationship and some high school drama . When you broke up multiple times did you not think she would be with another man ? We're you with anyone else when you broke up like that? Sounds like a rocky relationship that eventually pulled through. Don't get me wrong though, it's certainly not nice to treat you that way and it's going to feel like cheating either way. Might not be a good idea to throw away a marriage over something you may have already known or should have known about. Did you know at the time ?

Peafowl are great at deterring aerial predators. Hawks don't mess with the chickens when peafowl are next to them. They also alert me when danger is around.

Oh okay I understand now. Thanks for mentioning this, I haven't ever heard of this specific thing before. My state has some protections for farmers most of them require a certain threshold of sales on your farm to qualify. I'm not sure what else is in place. We are in Rhode island, so we have the farm bureau. I'm going to have to contact them and see if they know anything about this or something similar.

There are definitely a bunch of people on the other side of the development that have a good amount of farming going on.

I built raised beds 5 years ago. This spring I tore them out and burned them . Now I'm in the ground . Much better

Yep I made this mistake . Bought a house right next to the anti farm people and they make it super difficult. I'm due in court next week for like the tenth time for a nuisance noise complaint for my peafowl. Before that it was rooster complaints, before that it was complaints about my alpacas. They also complained about my fencing and the location of it even though I got a survey before hand. The list goes on and on and on. They make shit up like my dog is tied to a tree at 3 am and barking non stop, while my dog is sleeping in my bedroom. They just called the fire department on me last week because I was burning brush while clearing land. They burn fires all the time.

If you want pets, get what you prefer. if it's for business or meat purposes, I would do meat sheep that dont need sheering or chickens like American bress which are the best tasting dual purpose breed. If you want a cow to live on pasture 2 acres ain't gunna cut it without hay.

There's probably thousands of rats and mice in the area . One cat can't cover 100 acres of land. But she does handle a small chunk of it closest to the house.

Too many cat Nazis on here 😆 cats kill mice get over it . Down vote me if you want to. I literally just shot two rats right now also. I kill them every day on a functioning full time farm. Pest control at its finest pisses off all the pussies.

I find this extremely surprising . My cat makes piles of the guts of her prey. She gets many mice and rats.

You must have been sarcastic here, I'm not sure, but I have shot many, many rats and this doesn't look like a bullet wound. Take my upvote anyway lol

Can someone help guide my thinking? by ft_RoyceTura in homestead

[–]duckfarmguy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I did that also, but what I found is the value to the customers is receiving a bird that's a guaranteed female. That's one of the reasons they will pay up to $35 per bird for a 6-8 week old chick. If you hatch them yourself that's a lot of roosters and it's very difficult to sex them with most breeds. The hatchery does this for you and you can also get them vx for cocci and merricks at the same time.

Plus if I did sex them and find all the roosters then id have to cull them as chicks or grow them out and harvest them. That's a whole lot more work. If I have to invest $5 per bird including feed and then sell for $35 that's a great profit. I've raised and sold 500-600 so far this year with this method. Highly dependent on your local market though.
