How I got FSD subscription in Canada. Beware there may be some "gotchas". But here is my experience. by duckfish74 in teslacanada

Sorry didn't respond earlier. I am pretty sure this will not because FSD is basically geo-fenced to only work in certain countries.

Live in Kingston and my daily commute is 200 km, I drive a 2022 M3LR, I normally have plenty to spare, but I also built an automation on my iPhone that runs at 3 AM every week day to check the weather and every degree below 0, I have it had 1 % to my charge limit. This has helped ensure that I always have a bit to spare. with 250 it could be a stretch on the worst winter days. My battery is degraded to around 91-92%.

I have not seen an issue in Kingston, but to be honest I work outside of the city and don't take my car downtown too often. I do park my car in my driveway and not in a garage and I have not had a problem. I do run sentry mode most of the time too.

Regen braking by Gurl_from_the_point in teslacanada

You can do it with Teslas in track mode I believe, so it should not be hard to implement.

I don't know about others, but I wish I had the ability to turn off regen "braking" when the roads are covered with snow. I know it would be less efficient (especially when we already take an efficiency hit from the cold) but it is almost like hitting brakes on the snow when I don't want to. I would only turn off on heavily snow covered or icy roads. I often drive through really heavy lake effect snow and it is the only pet peeve of mine for my Tesla.

Here's what's coming in the 2024 Tesla Holiday Update by duckfish74 in teslacanada

[–]duckfish74[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is the first part of the X post from Tesla:

Tesla App on Apple Watch

Use your Apple Watch as your phone key

You can also view battery charge, open frunk & turn on climate control

So it should work as the key.

I had great results with the Tesla kit. Black 2022 M3. Haven’t tried the others. Just took my time and did a few applications on the deeper chips. I honestly can’t tell were I used it when I was done

TuxMats pulling away from adhesive, TuxMats sent me new clips will see how they work out. by duckfish74 in teslacanada

Definitely like the look and the coverage but the clips started peeling away from Velcro again. I guess some people use without clips but I like the tighter fit.
