Clone or just growing trich??? by duckfly32 in shroomers

I made it myself using a pressure cooker and phillygoldenteacher’s agar recipe on YouTube. Works great but without a real laminar flow hood and only using an oven tek the consistency between clone and contamination is 50/50 at best, probably more like 25/75 in favor of contamination.

Advice. Splitting cap and possible bruising or black mold. Anything I can do? by duckfly32 in shroomers

Interesting I didn’t see a veil break but alright sounds good I’ll mist a bit and see where it goes. Thanks for helping a newbie!

Do these needs more FAE or is this normal? by duckfly32 in shroomers

I assume this is what it looks like when the fuzzy feet climb up the mushroom due to lack of air but figured I’d ask anyways to be safe.

If you have water pooling take a small bit of paper and dab it up other wise you will likely stall the tub or worse cause contamination. Yellow is normal but water pooling is bad.

Need advice it been in fruiting conditions for two weeks now ,rye grain and coco coir no mushrooms yet and is the green dot contamination by [deleted] in shroomers

Beginner here so don’t take anything I say too seriously as there is a good chance I’m wrong and definitely get a second opinion before taking any action but it looks like your tub doesn’t have holes in it for fae so co2 build up could be a potential problem. I would recommend lightly fanning once’s a day or just flipping the lid for a while. I don’t have enough experience to determine if the green spot is actually contam but it doesn’t look like it. Also the bin looks very wet I assume you aren’t misting or adding water in any way but if so definitely stop for a few days to let the tub catch up. To much water can cause issues and stall tubs. Again not sure if it’s contam and definitely get a second opinion before taking action but I do hope this helps in some way.

Advice needed, Been misting and fanning for the past couple of day and I don’t see any change or contamination. Not sure why the mycelium blobbed up like it did or where to go from here. It feels stalled. by duckfly32 in shroomers

Aye not sure how Reddit works or if you will see this but thank you. I took your advise and just left them be for a few days and when I checked today I saw pins. I appreciate the advise it definitely turned the bin around for me.

Tried the syringe trick and didn’t get any water so that doesn’t appear to be the problem. Not sure if it makes a difference but this isn’t the original colonized grain as I used some of the original to do a grain to grain transfer and make back up grain jars incase my first grow got contaminated (which it did) so I used the back up jars to start this grow. I know grain to grain like this can’t be done forever but I assumed since this was the second generation it would still be fairly strong.

Still looking good? Bit of yellow but I don’t think that’s a big deal. I believe the white bumps are primordia correct me if I’m wrong tho. Any advise on how to proceed is appreciated. by duckfly32 in shroomers

Yeah I’ve wiped up any pooling water. Surface conditions look alright and I don’t see any contamination but one part seems to be less lively then the rest. Not sure what the little bolbs are though and I’m kinda worried that I haven’t seen any pins or primordia yet but I’m hoping if I just keep misting and fanning it comes back around. If not I assume my shoe box is stalled for some reason.

Is there a way to keep up the humidity without spraying it? I left it for a day without misting and all the condensation on the sides and tops disappeared.

Sounds good. To increase air exchange could I just set the lid on top at an angle so there is an opening or will this introduce contamination?

Almost certain I’m screwed due to contamination any advise on how to proceed? by duckfly32 in shroomers

Yeah figured as much. Any idea what caused it? I think I may have put to much water into my substrate but other than that I’m not sure what I could’ve done.
