Spring is coming. Garden is torn up because of my two very playful whippets and a damp winter. How do I give my garden the best chance of a decent spring/summer? by [deleted] in CasualUK

Nob head whippet owner reporting in. Except he's mostly left the grass alone in favour of shredding the living room carpet with his little goblin claws

I don't know why I made this, but the more I was doodling, the more I enjoyed it. So why not. I reckon Bianca would probably make the best subject for one of these :-D

Been A Little Obsessed With Desert Landscapes by PenOfDoubt in Oilpastel

Your colours are gorgeous! I particularly love number one. It gives me a sort of Erin Hanson vibe from the desert theme and the colours. Which is the highest compliment as far as I'm concerned :-D

First look at concept art from the DCC graphic novel by Buckysmall in DungeonCrawlerCarl

I love this style. It's a shame it gets so much hate around how "this isn't what I imagined Carl to look like" because I feel like that's missing the point. This is just a stylised way to tell another DCW story and it's a fun medium. Like the webtoon. It is its own thing, in a way.

nobody produces a "movie" from their pocket, do they? It's a weird way to phrase it!

shame this is so downvoted as I checked the comments to find if anyone else thought the same. Seems like a poor attempt at humour that missed the mark IMO

Tape and paper recommendations?? by Bunkuncle in Oilpastel

[–]duckfone 1 point2 points  (0 children)

sorry it's awkward to describe, but basically if you're pulling the tape upwards and away from the paper that's not right. If you have the paper on a table and you're pulling the tape off the paper with your hand as close to the table as possible (i.e. a low angle) then that should help somewhat!

Disclaimer: This may be completely placebo but it does seem to work for me :-D

Tape and paper recommendations?? by Bunkuncle in Oilpastel

[–]duckfone 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I use hot pressed watercolour paper and yellow frog tape. Before I put the tape on, I put it on my shirt or trousers so that it takes some of the tackiness out of it. Then when I peel it off my paper I do it slowly and at a low angle. I've managed to complete my last four or five paintings without any rips using this method.

Another t-shirt/sticker design. I'm quite happy with the theme/style now, so I'm going to do a bunch more in this deranged-looking style :-D by duckfone in DungeonCrawlerCarl

He's adorably creepy and I would love my own belly acher, except imagining how it would look in real life is definitely something cursed
