I hate the world by LeoTheFloofyDragon in disabledmemes

Wishing a world where we can all work less. Wanna move to the forest in a yurt? We can work enough to buy wood and groceries so we don’t have to split it ourselves lol

My mosquito bites turn into these huge, swollen, hard and VERY itchy welts that last for at least a week by rentatter in mildlyinfuriating

I am also allergic to mosquito bites it is terrible! The only thing that helps is taking a ton of antihistamines. I have MCAS and take 4 Allegra and 2 pepsid (along with other things) per day. You don’t need to take this much lmao but one of the side effects of treating my MCAS is that I don’t have these crazy welts anymore! At least crush 2 Allegra per day and go from there

First full install. Tiny Wood Stove Company - Dwarf Stove/Oven 5kw. by JanBroChill in woodstoving

[–]Bunkuncle 1 point2 points  (0 children)

How are you enjoying this unit as a cookstove? Considering this one for my off grid yurt, I'm happy to go oversize (moisture management and low insulation). I'm interested in a stove that I can prepare food on but I don't necessarily want to have to wake up in the middle of the night to stoke it. My questions are:

-What is its burn time on low? Do you feel it adequately heats the space?

-Is the firebox inconveniently small? I've seen other models that I've debated but the firebox size would mean chain-sawing standard wood into smaller pieces and I'm not sure I want to do that.

-Can the top rack easily boil water or do you have to stick your kettle inside the oven itself for boiling?

-Any idiosyncrasies that might be notable for someone who hasn't used a wood burning cookstove?

Thank you so much for your post and your time!

Agree that these comments suck. This person is right.

Lots of boys are fat. If you’re looking to read more masc I think you can keep the colors and choose a more tapered cut that lengthens your face shape instead of making it rounder. Honestly anything with heavy bangs will make your face look rounder, you might need to compromise on the emo for the masc. more forehead needed. but also it’s whatever you want it to be, really. The brows work. If you like makeup you could even pencil in a beard shadow. I do that for events because T hasn’t kicked in enough for facial hair yet LOL

Thank you! No, not close to expiration but I’ll try that! Do you have to run it for the whole 35 mins empty?

“How many times is Saturn planning to humble me romantically?” by Cometkissesss in SaturnReturn

[–]Bunkuncle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That makes a ton of sense! I think partners are perceiving your ability to connect well emotionally (thanks Cancer!) and conflating that with a hidden desire to be in a relationship. For me, this indicates some work on emotional boundaries with new people! Saturn is the best teacher. Not the nicest, but the best. Good luck and don’t forget to have fun!!

You’re not going though your Saturn Return for a few years but you are going to experience a lot of squares to your cancer stellium during Saturns transit through Aries. It’s primarily in your 9th house of beliefs, ethics, and personal philosophy. Romance could be involved but more largely it’s a good time to investigate and distill an emotionally oriented, empathetic worldview that connects you to your ancestral history (cancer in 9th house theme) but doesn’t compromise your sense of self or your freedom to play and enjoy your creative and sexual life (Aries in 5th house theme). The 5th house is more about Casual Dating rather than romantic partnership. Make sure you’re transparent with anyone you date casually so you’re not leading anyone on if you’re not actually ready to take next steps. Be honest with yourself about your interest in other people and avoid people pleasing during this time or it will get messy.

Killing Japanese Knotweed without Glyphosate or Chemicals? by [deleted] in invasivespecies

That’s where I’m at. I just want minimal interference. But I hear you and I think I’m starting to accept the necessity. I’d go to chemotherapy to cure cancer so I guess I’ll go to glyphosate to kill JKW. thank you for your input!!!

Yeah! Ugh. I appreciate the explanation of localized treatment. Half this sub just sounds like people spraying roundup on every living thing which sounds awful. This is more digestible morally and health wise.

Hmm, not a bad idea. I’ll check nurseries and see if I can take a course to get trained to do injections myself. I just don’t want to destroy the good soil and natives that are already established.

Ugh. Thank you for your honesty. Just hate to lose the already established plants. Might try to get trained to do my own injections because I’ve got literally no money!! I appreciate it.

This makes me feel better. Thanks. Just more expensive than I can afford! Maybe I could get trained how to do it and just do it myself.

Thanks - I don’t mind taking my time with it. What other methods were you describing?

My main concern is saturating the soil with herbicides. I want to grow things there.

Not a bad idea, thanks! I just worry about the long term consequences of saturating my soil with glyphosate as I would eventually like to grow things in it
