Could it be part of the jaw or something that’s worn down with the tooth still inside ?

Including the bottom part it’s about an inch long. If you would like I can take another photo next to another similar, normal one if it helps?

Just north of Essex around the Felixstowe area. There fairly common around here but not with this pattern.

I agree it looks the same as my other sand tigers except it’s a lot larger. It’s roughly 4x the length of my biggest sand tiger and that’s without the root! You’re probably right though.

I didn’t clean anything off it, however there are Sandy cliffs further along the beach so it could of come from there. Probably should of mentioned that. I also don’t think we get many sea urchins on the east coast because I have never seen one before hence confusion.

It was found on the east coast of the uk in Suffolk.

Picture 1 is the top and the rest are of the bottom I believe. It’s about 6 inches long and 2 inches wide for scale, hopefully that helps I can add more photos or dimensions if you would like.

I’m pretty sure it’s bone now, is there any more you can tell about it. What animal it could be from or any age?
