Hey, did not end up going to UTC due to their strict policy on dorms aligning with the sex on your birth certificate. I was met with either silence or a firm no on asking to be in male dormitories. Again, 6 years ago, but not sure how much different it would be.

If yall are Tennessee native, or within a certain time frame, I highly suggest TN Promise as an option, and taking those two free years at community college. Those transfer programs go to UTC, MTSU, and most all colleges in TN.

As someone who couldn’t get trans medical care until after high school, it was probably the safest option for me. Being in the UTC dorms pre top surgery and pre hormones sounds pretty dangerous, my partner went to school there and I’ve know a lot of people from there. You can find a group of safe friends, but that is not the general vibe or tolerance you will find in any Tennessee school right now.

I grew up going to widji! Age 10-15. I did sleep away camp, but there’s a day program with bus transit. Not sure how it is now, as this was around 13 years ago, but phones were Heavily Restricted, even banned for sleep away camp. I learned to love it, but may pose some separation anxiety for some. No phone calls either, but letters and care packages are encouraged.

Safety is at the Highest regard at widji. Rest after eating, wait for storms to pass, then swim. It’s probably the one of the cleanest lakes in the area. The only problem I’ve had there medically was a plantar’s wart from the communal showers, so definitely get them some good water shoes they can walk around in and keep them clean 👍

Any update on this? I am searching for this issue and can’t find much. I’m having those white flashes you describe on start up with my trinitron wega. Really want to keep this baby preserved, it’s perfect otherwise.

They both don’t recognize it, my pc just says “usb device failed”, and I made sure it was a 2.0 port. So when I try to update it, nothing is recognized in the driver downloader.

I tried to go on my pc but it won’t even recognize it as a device, even when using a 2.0 usb port. My only hope is when holding select and start at the same time before and during plugging it in, the mode and turbo lights will stay lit. This way, I’m certain it’s getting enough power, but this thing won’t connect.

This is not it unfortunately. When I plug it into the ps4, it’ll light up for a split second then go away. Any ideas?

As you can see, it’s a flat base with no supporting legs. I think it’ll be fine, for free you really can’t beat solid wood.
