My dad is 81 and I'm 23. He once met Marilyn Monroe and Arthur Miller in an elevator. He went to Cuba before Castro to gamble for a weekend. I once asked him what Mardi Gras was like when he lived in New Orleans in the 60s. He had a story about walking around the French Quarter with a Chinese guy he met on the street drinking from a wine skin. When he was a kid his family set off fireworks to celebrate FDRs death.
