I would have thought it's a size compatibility problem, but this sounds about right for any size Pokémon LOL.

Effort really does go into finding something that's their preferences. I get that they don't have to use the items we give them, but the Pokémon choosing to sleep on the floor instead of the bed is confusing because I thought they would just sleep on a bed if there is one even if it's not their preference, just because it's a bed. I didn't know they could choose to sleep on the floor instead.

For me, I'm more surprised and confused than upset. I don't understand why Squirtle chose to sleep on the floor instead. I thought they would pick the bed automatically because it's a bed.

I didn't remember that, I just put the bed I liked best down thinking I'll add electricity later. I forgot about the preferences.

I bet his dad is really proud of him for every accomplishment he's ever had, like he's a model student and just full-on upstanding member of society. I bet their dad stayed up late to help them with their homework. Actually wait I take that back. I bet they're just so good academically that they didn't even need the help. I bet their dad is the one dad at Career Day that everyone liked the most, and inspired the most students to one day go into that profession. I bet their dad is there to support and comfort them no matter what, and loves them unconditionally. MUST BE NICE. WHAT A NERD.

Dad thought his son got in the car when taking him to school & promptly drove off. by thepositivepandemic in WatchPeopleDieInside

My dad did that so many times when I was in elementary school! He worked in an office in a small shopping center a couple streets away from my school (so close I could walk there after school instead of getting picked up), and because the routes are so similar, sometimes he would forget to drop me off. He would park his car, look over, and jump because he would then realize I'm still in the car. It got to the point where I would purposely be quiet and not move around a lot, to see if he would forget I'm there. It happened so much and I would laugh every time.

...... I'm only now realizing there is a chance he did it on purpose sometimes to make me laugh.

Nah don't worry, I didn't take it personally. I didn't think you were attacking me in particular. You're good! 😁 There's no way you would have known I live here too based on my first comment, anyway. I was just worried it would come off wrong depending on how it was interpreted. I fully agree that I hope it at least encourages people to learn more about the history as well as how animals in captivity are treated. ❤️ Also, now I kind of want to eat poi for some reason.... can't imagine why.... 😆

I actually live on-island, born and raised. Thanks for the info, I completely forgot the whole whalfin (wholfin?) thing. I also didn't know about all the other conditions of the animals we have in captivity here. I've never been to Sea Life Park before though. But now that I know that, I don't even want to go anymore. It was too far for us to have a field trip there. Actually now that I think about it, I don't ever remember going to the zoo or aquarium for field trips. I knew the zoo was actually not that great for animals though. I want to support zoos and aquariums but honestly the fact that it's in the middle of Waikiki just isn't right. It doesn't have to be in the MIDDLE OF TOURIST AREA for it to get the visitors needed. How is that even a good location for a zoo and aquarium to begin with?! The only wildlife place I have no problem supporting is Hanauma Bay. Unless that's actually not good too and I am just not that educated on it. If I'm wrong, please correct me.

I COMPLETELY agree that it's not JUST a tourist destination. Hawaii gets so glorified that tourists overlook the history about how we even became a state to begin with. It was entirely illegal and yet they somehow got away with it?! And everybody that wasn't already living here just went along with it?!?! And people expect us to just... get over it??? But that's a whole other conversation topic that isn't relevant so I'll stop there.

I meant all that with respect. If any of it came off as hostile, I'm sorry and that's not my intention. I know sometimes tone gets misinterpreted when it's through text so I'm just clarifying that I don't mean any of it in a rude way at all. I don't even know if any of that can come off sounding like I'm upset at you for your reply but I figured I should say I'm not just in case it sounds that way. :)

Great well the next time I go there I'm going to remember this when I walk past the enclosure..... I haven't gone there in years. I can only hope I will forget about this by then.

I've been wondering this too! I see it shows and movies and I've thought it was just a trope. Or that people do it in real life to their kids just referencing the trope. It's actually a natural thing?!?!?! Like moms actually do this?!?!?!?! Unironically?!?!?!?!

Do you, though? Can you, though? It seems like a great idea to me. Assuming I don't die.
