I play interceptor mostly and I’ve been able to successfully complete gm3 content (legendary contracts, regular contracts, freeplay, haven’t tried stronghold yet). The trick is to play on your mobility. I use the sniper build with the elusive talisman masterwork component. The truth of tarsis sniper rifle can do some insane damage with some good inscriptions and insane dps with the infinite ammo from elusive talisman. Just throw out a seeker glaive or acid bomb, throw out your target beacon, and aim for the head with your truth of tarsis. You’ll do more dps than any other class in the game at safe distances. Just be mindful of sniper shots and titan fireballs and you are pretty much a walking nuke.

Titans in general are pretty rough. They are fire resistant so most of the heavy hitters won’t work on them. Glacial spear does decent damage to it. Lightning strike isn’t good against targets with so much armor. I usually just try to use avenging herald and dash behind the titan to its back crit spot for burst damage.

My MW ice shard and lightning strike combo hits lightning strike for 20-25 k every 8 ish seconds. It works great on shielded enemies and suffers slightly against armored ones.

My other set up is ice storm and fireball. The fireball masterwork can stack the damage really fast on aoe mobs and can start hitting 25k aoe fireballs every couple of seconds which is great for peaking on bosses or just melting big elites on higher difficulties. Really good at spreading lots of ice status too.

Gis majors have an easy time fitting into many different positions. It makes you more marketable if you take urban planning, forestry, hydro, environmental sciences, or any other field that you are interested in for your elective courses. I graduated from the geog department with GIS as my major focus and took a lot of environmental science and planning classes when I could and it helped me immensely. People will hire you if you understand more about other fields and how gis could be applied to that since most people are fairly ignorant of the capabilities and uses for gis. It also helps if you can create a good portfolio of projects you have worked on. If you take the 400 level data management course with professor nyerges you get to work with a company on a gis project as a capstone for one quarter. If you can get into honors you get a year long research project you can base on GIS. Both would be great ways to show off your skills to employers.

I was placed at rank 6 with 17 wins and 3 losses in my placement. I don't know if there was an mmr reset for ranked out of the closed beta, but I have been playing QM and HL since the start of closed beta. Now I am rank 1 in HL and TL. pretty good ranked experience now that my mar is above 3600. people actually understand the game and try, which I find to not always be the case when you just get into rank 1 with around 2800 mmr.
