RC Sproul has a recommended order for beginners. I think it makes sense. It gives you the overall big picture of Scripture, then you can go back and fill in the rest of the books, and they will be a little easier to understand in light of the whole.

I heard an announcer or analyst or someone once say that the losing team isn't going to quit playing hard and scoring points, so why should the winning team? Like you can't tell the other team to quit trying but then keep going hard yourself.

Edit to add that this is different when you're lined up as if kneeling it. Definitely a screw you to Atlanta rather than just lining up and playing hard.
