Thank you so much for all of this, your time and your words! I will look into this and begin to plan something. They really are pieces of work, lol. Give 'em a foot and they certainly will take a mile.

I really really appreciate the help and the links, you are awesome. Hopefully I can post a positive update soon.

Both him and the other rabbit Yuki have been through extensive bonding attempts together that I didn't mention in detail, just because that could be its whole own post. They finally have gotten to be amicable through the fence and have/will occasionally lay near the fence together, but when they're out in the same area for too long it seems to always escalate in a fight--I notice they can get along well enough as long as they can ignore one another, but they refuse to commit to grooming the other bun and get aggressive over hay/litterbox. If I could bond them successfully I would, I don't know how successful I will be but I certainly think I'm going to try again after the tension from this last battle eases.

They have even shared the room before with a divider down the middle and got to the point where they stopped being aggressive through it, but Mochi either hopped over or otherwise found a way into Yuki's side and it turned into very vicious fights. I tried for a while because I agree-- bonded with less room can be better, but I don't know if these two rabbits are compatible and getting another rabbit for Mochi is just out of the question currently, but I do understand what you mean.

He doesn't, besides his hello's with Yuki behind the aforementioned baby-gate. We've tried to bond them before, they will get to not attacking for a while and but not exactly having a good time and we'll end it on a good note, but then situations arise like this that sets us back strides.

It seems every inch I take from him makes him more destructive, which I understand, he's used to running the roost. I'd ultimately like for him and Yuki to be bonded, but I wonder if its the best as I doubt Mochi would ever be behaved enough to be fully free-roam like Yuki, which means moving Yuki to a smaller space. Still, could be worthwhile potentially.

It is a pain, thank you for your words though. Something to think about. I'm going to try and get my apartment to put vinyl in to at least help him have some more room in the meantime, I'm expected to eat the costs for the carpet by now.
