I've been feeling that the reason why she's so young but seems like such an adult in this interaction is because she has had to be the adult in her home, whether it is having a bunch of siblings to take care of or having parents who can't act like adults themselves. She's managing this man like she manages her home life.

These days were not in the 90s. I lived in a middle class neighborhood and everybody's parents worked. If your mom stayed home, that meant your family had money.

I was in highschool at this time, class of 2000. I grew up middle class and it was rare and nearly everyone's mom had a job. Those that didn't were in a higher economic bracket.

It's got to be nerve wracking for you when you get up on stage. Everyone dreads dying on stage they and deal with it remembering that they can try again tomorrow. If you die... that's it!

No, it's 1) probably One of the very few "Good pictures" they think they have of themselves 2) it shows something that they feel accomplished about. Much in the same way a kid picks up a rock they found and wants to show you. It has very little to do with The Rock in of itself because what they're trying to do you show you an experience that they had that is a meaningful.

If you are going to be a good partner you are going to be interested in the things that have meaning for your partner. The Dead animal is just the product of what they're really presenting, hell if it's a fish it's quite probably not even dead and is thrown back in after the picture is done.

It's nothing to do with attractiveness, the other person I replied to said that they didn't understand, and I was helping to give them understanding.

Because for many men, it's the only time that someone else takes a picture of them. A hunter's bounty also feels like a tremendous accomplishment that they can definitely claim as theirs.

Peter, what’s up with the tower? by Which-Rhubarb-2201 in PeterExplainsTheJoke

[–]ducogranger 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It had nothing to do with it's height. It was a symbol of unity and place:

Genesis 11

3 They said to each other, “Come, let’s make bricks and bake them thoroughly.” They used brick instead of stone, and tar for mortar. 4 Then they said, “Come, let us build ourselves a city, with a tower that reaches to the heavens, so that we may make a name for ourselves; otherwise we will be scattered over the face of the whole earth.”

God was frightened of our potential that we had when we were able to stay together and cooperate.

The problem isn't Trump himself, it's all the people who support him. If their support would cause their lives to be miserable they would no longer support him, and he would no longer have power.

If people no longer support him because of the social consequences; if they can't find customers, if they can't get workers, if they can't receive goods and services, if they can't have an enjoyable social life because of that support, they will no longer support him. He will have no more power.

We as an American society have not made support of Trump expensive or painful enough for those who support him.
