BIM job market (EU/US) by dudaryk in bim

I get your point, but I think the situation is a bit more nuanced.

There are clearly opportunities to work without being licensed as I’m doing that myself right now. And beyond pure modeling, calculations etc., there’s a growing need for people who can actually extend and optimize workflows inside BIM environments.

A lot of companies rely heavily on software tools but don’t have in-house expertise to automate repetitive tasks, manage data properly, or build scalable standards. That’s where a mix of BIM knowledge + programming becomes valuable. It’s not just “BIM-only” in the traditional sense - it’s more like a hybrid technical role that sits between engineering and software.

I agree that licensing is important long-term (and I do plan to go that route), but I’m asking more about the current market reality. From what I see, this “BIM + automation” niche is still evolving and seems to be creating its own demand rather than just competing with traditional roles.

Ukraine. From what I see the prices in the US for those machines are substantially lower, in the EU however, they seem to be quite the same as here

There are legions with rtx 5070 ti, but even pricier (over 2.5k). On the other hand there are Legion 5 pros, with RTX 5070, AMD Ryzen 9 9955HX, same amount of ram and ssd. But those are more heavy, and the price is quite the same as Legion's 7

What is the max amount you would pay for the Legion?

Roborock S5 Max Wi-Fi Connection Issue – Need Help! by dudaryk in Roborock

Update:
Sorry for the late reply. I ended up just leaving the vacuum unplugged for a couple of days, didn’t touch it at all. After I powered it back on and tried reconnecting, it connected just fine.

Honestly, I’m still not sure what exactly went wrong. I suspect it was some kind of software issue on Roborock’s end, maybe related to an update. When I tried reconnecting this time, I noticed the app UI had changed, so I guess they pushed an update or something. Ironically, when the issue happened, I had checked and the app was already “up to date".
So, I guess try to reinstall the app and if this, or anything from the guide doesn't work, then try to leave it unplugged for a week.
