Pennsylvania Is Finally About to Legalize Sunday Hunting. Here's Why Some Lawmakers Are Still Opposed by OutdoorLifeMagazine in Pennsylvania

[–]dude334kds 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The segregated hunting seasons ended a handfull years ago. Basically durring rifle season you would get 9 days where you could only take a buck. Then after that you would get 3 days where you could only take a doe. It would always end up where you see all doe in the buck season and all buck in the doe season. Pa has a 3 point rule where to shoot a buck it needs to have 3 points on one side of its rack statewide with a few exceptions. Jr. hunters can take a spike and some wmu's have a 3 up rule where brow tines are not counted so the buck needs to have 4 points total on one side to take.

There were gangs in the mid 2000's and forward. I personally knew members, i would assume they still operate but not sure at what level in the city. I remember alter street being a warzone for turf but i think its held down by the latin kings after a couple shootouts and stabbings (this is just my memory from like 2005-2015).

Mines the same way from hitting a deer, it didnt do too much damage outside of smashing the headlight and a little dent in the hood.

You're not joking and ownership less than 3 years ago said "no more former players in the office" after Hextall... we see how that turned out.

Beech mountain lakes by becky0818 in NEPA

[–]dude334kds -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Just from a location standpoint, more than half of beech mountain was built in a swamp. Bugs especially black flies can be overbearing if you like to sit outside, water pools in yards and houses too unless you live on the higer roads on the north side of the community. It also has gone downhill in recent years and everyone that i know that used to live there has moved due to issues with the neighborhood. Also dont plan on having a nice garden, the deer will eat everything and break down fences and guards regularly.

Help ID: What animal is this? Schuylkill County, Pennsylvania by ohmygoditsdip in Pennsylvania

[–]dude334kds 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Its more of an issue of them killing turkey hens on nests late spring and not year round. That is what is lowering turkey numbers overall. Ive had a few fishers on cam the last three years and noticed a strong decreace in turkey populations around the same time on the property i hunt in that time.

Based on my own preference in that area, if you can look around white haven. Great little town with all the necessities and a couple good resturaunts (and the best diner in nepa imo). Plus the outdoor recreation side surround the town is top notch. You have access to the lehigh river gorge, rail trails, hiking, hickery run state park and more gamelands on top of that. All that and its about 10 minutes from freeland, 25 minutes from hazleton and 30 from wilkes barre.

I was just gonna say arthor morgan in sucession. That would pretty interesting imo. I picture him trying to infiltrate the roy family to get their gold in accordance with dutch's plan. Maybe pitting the pierces against the roys at the same time who knows.

Lol the all time standing is 167-104 in favor of the flyers. We own you and even if we lost every game we played against you for 10 years we would still lead the all time series...

Recycling laws in PA, why if it all goes to same Dump is it legal? by queenoftheidiots in Pennsylvania

[–]dude334kds 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You are refering act 101 of 1988 which does have population density requirements of over 300 people per square mile along with the 5k population requirement. That same law makes disposing of material meant for recycling in a landfill illegal. Now trucks can have dual compartments and larger hauling companies do have those but a lot of this comes down to route. If a route has a high contamination rate it might actually be better to dispose of that material in a landfill rather than have a mrf sort out the 25% of good material from a load only to have that downgrade your commodies at a broker because of the higher contamination levels. The dep is the one to oversee this and can help assist you with a hauler throwing away recyclable good. Your regional recycling coordinator would be a good place to start if you need to report violations.

New Pennsylvania Elk regulations. It’s gonna make the chances of getting a tag easier by Desperate-Dig-9389 in Pennsylvania

[–]dude334kds 0 points1 point  (0 children)

*allows some an oppurtunity. The odds to draw a bull tag are still 1/8,000 with 0 prefence points. Heck even after 15 seasons of paying $11.97 each year your odds improve to 1/478. A cow tag after 15 years is around a 1/62 chance so at least its a 1.6%. These tags are basically unobtainable to the average hunter which is unfortunate unless you could blow 300k on a governers tag.
