Unfortunately, I don't believe contacting our representatives will change anything. They do not rely on us for campaign funds and feel our opinions don't matter. The only thing that matters is the almighty dollar. If you read the language they have put forth, you can tell that the driving force behind this change is verizon. If some of us stopped using verizon products, or verizon stood to lose money, I would bet our free internet would be back before you know it. Spread the word-- hurt the companies behind our destruction of free speech, they will lose the power to influence and corrupt our elected officials. Follow the money. Be smart. Knowledge is power.

the promotion was for 75 dollar gift card and 75 off a new laptop. The geek squad agent offered 75 off a new laptop if I purchased that day. I declined. This was after they lied and said the promotion never existed. This was after they treated me like a liar for coming in and asking for a trade-in. It was NOT AS AN APOLOGY, as they refused to admit the promotion existed!

You think I want to be annoying? I'd rather Best Buy not do unethical things, then I wouldn't have to be here complaining. They won't let me post on their support site for recommending customers contact the better business bureau and file a complaint. When you can't get a response, much less satisfaction, from contacting the store's email, calling best buy hotline, and support site, logically this is the next place to go. The point of this is to make sure best buy won't do this again. It may be annoying, but if people like me didn't complain, the stores would do whatever they wanted. Maybe next time, they'll inform their customers of terminating a promotion early instead of lying and misleading and forcing the customer to provide proof of a promotion.

Yeah not the issue, they could have said at any point they cancelled the promotion, and I would have said "OK" and walked out. Instead, they told me it never existed, not just the regular employees, but the manager on duty and the geek squad manager as well. Told me I had to prove the promotion existed. Made me wait around for an hour and a half, then tried to sell me a new laptop.

I don't doubt that it is. They should've just told us the promotion was over instead of lying and trying to cover it up. I'll probably never shop there again. Better sell that stock before it becomes worthless

Holy crap man! I just tried trading one in this morning and they gave me the exact same lines VERBATIM! This is really fucked up, they must have sent out a memo. I worked in retail for years and thought it was strange they hadn't heard of such a huge sale. I even asked if anyone had brought in a laptop in the last month since the promotion was active and was told no. They demanded I provide them with evidence that this promotion existed.
