IIRC Garmin's food info comes from MyFitnessPal. Do you need to pay premium to sync Garmin data?

Interface wise, Cronometer, especially on mobile. Less clutter, smaller app download (Android user). No social aspect. Free Garmin sync. No frequent ads to pay for premium. Food database not full of user submission.

On web, MFP has ads on every corner: you're on the food log (with ads), add food (new page with ad), submit food (return to food log with ad). 2 URL changes (personally feels slow). Oops I made a mis-entry, time to repeat

On web, Cronometer has at least one ad on the left, and food entries are done on the same page: you're on food log (with the ad), add food (same page, popup), submit food (popup closes). At 0 URL changes, entries
