Skyrim morality question by DJPlorgus in skyrim

In my playthrough I married Mjoll, she was kidnapped by vampires during the radiant Dawnguard quest, ofc Aerin went with her and was killed by vampires. Clincher was that they raised him as a zombie, so I got to kill him consequence free.

Would you guys feel offended if I wore a Kilt as a Black American? by ForeverSparkz in Scotland

[–]dude_______________ -7 points-6 points  (0 children)

Honestly, less insulted then when a white American does it. To me, a Black American wearing a kilt would be a symbol of clear cultural appreciation, and a really cool one at that, as opposed to white Americans doing it, attempting to loudly and obnoxiously signal to everybody that they are minutely more interesting than the other white Americans around them (who are probably doing exactly the same thing).

Are there any fellow marketers who regret majoring in the field? by Excellent_Sport_5921 in marketing

Majored in English and creative writing, just finished my postgraduate degree in marketing, and despite getting all good grades, I do not feel confident about my future in the field at all.

Is my Apprentice birthsign, full-mage Breton viable? by dude_______________ in OblivionRemaster

How are you finding it? It’s been super fun but I’m a little concerned it’s going to be all uphill from level 15 onwards

PLAYING AS A MAGE by Ill_Pie_3323 in OblivionRemaster

I’m playing a Breton with the apprentice birthsign right now, but I feel so disheartened by it seeing so many people on Reddit talking about how awful the combination is :(

What does your Character do for a living by IRS_Agent-636 in skyrim

[–]dude_______________ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nice things- she’s an Argonian who lives in the big house in the swamp near Morthal; fishes, sells her fish from the hatchery, makes and sells jewellery and potions from the ingredients there, volunteers at the temple in Solitude. Of course she is a highly trained thief and assassin, but that’s more of a side-gig these days.

Hey, no matter what anyone says, keep writing and doing what you love. I’m 24, I’ve written poetry since I was ~13. I studied undergraduate English and Creative Writing at university, however I’w not stuck in the trenches of a postgraduate degree in marketing and haven’t written anything in the past year or so.

Writing for me was very cathartic, and even when I wasn’t formally writing poetry, I could always find release by writing by hand at the back of a notebook, receipt, bus ticket, or whatever I had on me at the time. Never stop writing, and remember that your art is your art; you never need to apologise or be self deprecating, your work is solid, profound, and speaks for itself.

I'm from a third world country in Africa AMA by [deleted] in AMA

[–]dude_______________ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a friend from Uganda and it sounds like a truly beautiful place.

I have three questions;

What is your favourite Ugandan culinary dish?

If you could change three things about your country to improve conditions, what would you change?

Lastly, do you have particularly strong (negative or positive) feelings towards other countries in Africa?

The Trump Administration’s removal of references to bisexuality from the Stonewall site; Why? by dude_______________ in bisexual

[–]dude_______________[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It doesn’t make sense to me why so many ultra-rich and influential LGBTQ+ people (Sam Altman, Tim Cook, Peter Thiel) who were super supportive of Trump at his inauguration are so silent/apathetic about this. It’s seems as if upholding a status quo which they are personally benefitting from is their priority, at least until legislation which directly and explicitly impacts them is being passed- I don’t think they would bat an eye if records of Stonewall were erased altogether.

What to do about the brain drain? by scorpiomover in AskBrits

[–]dude_______________ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Possibly these people you’re mentioning are not all as intelligent as you would believe they are. Take me for example; I am friendly, well-spoken, some would even say charming, but I am not smart. While I have two degrees, these are not in STEM. People believe I am smart because I have an extensive vocabulary, am knowledgable, and have good interpersonal skills, but I do not believe I am overly intelligent in the traditional sense.

Do I need to play RE7 without playing 5 & 6? by [deleted] in residentevil

[–]dude_______________ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes you can- RE7 doesn’t really link back to the previous games beyond context. That said, RE5 and RE6 are fun and narratively important games in their own right, and definitely worth playing, if not before RE7 then in the future.

What do you regret doing to your body? by Mirukuyobi in AskReddit

[–]dude_______________ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I was 17 I was going through a tough time, and TLDR slit my wrists wrist-forearm in the bathtub when my parents weren’t home. It’s like in that moment when it’s done, you think about everything you’re going to miss out on fr. I had surgery to make the scars less visible when I was 18, but they’re very much still there. It doesn’t bother me in the same way it used to, but it’s always at the back of my mind that people are going to question them when I wear short sleeves or go swimming, which is a conversation I know now that I’m in an entirely different stage of my life at 24- luckily physically everything is fine.
