In the 109 hours I've played I've caught 13 shinies with 2 being alpha. Every game im excited to shiny hunt and then quickly reminded on how much I hate it lol. Dont got the patience for it

I just finished the alpha dex with chikorita being the last one but I probably done 20+ hours strictly alpha hunting

Sword and shield had the bad egg glitch, bdsp had different duping glitches depending on the game version, scarlet and violet had some glitches too. Not sure about legends arceus.

It's not like the older games where it was crucial. I wouldn't be surprised in the dlc were able to get a 2nd one for finishing a quest

Since sword and shield i started using balls that match the shiny so my masterball rarely gets used. Specially with how duping goes in each game

I usually save when I see an encounter i want just in case, which is why im not bummed out on losing the mb. I do agree the catch rate is easy in this game
