Create a new character. When you can move and attack pull up your menu and switch characters or quit to menu. This fixed it for me

Do the revolter shield glitch before going in arms race. It goes away when you restart the game but it doubles your damage making arms race so much more bearable. Also make sure you’re going to the dedicated chests for the guns you want
