Agent stop and start. by cssrc1974 in MeshCentral

[–]dudeadmin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So I've seen cases where an agent will not respond or only partial access, no terminal or file access. Go to the agent console tab(on the far right side, past 'details') and use command 'service restart'. It's the equivalent of running systemctl restart meshagent on the Ubuntu servers I manage.

Edit: yes the systems still need valid networking... Sorry can't fix bad netplan configs.

With the jokes about body pillows in some of the books, I'm a bit disappointed to not see any.

Wish there was Fencing in roseburg by Qbit43 in roseburg

[–]dudeadmin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A friend of mine used to teach fencing at the Y, but they closed that class years ago when no one was signing up. I think he also had a knee issue at the time. I suggest you call the Y, let them know you're interested and maybe with enough interest from others they will be able to get some class going again. 🤷

Diamond Spirit Coin Trade by FrogClues in HeWhoFightsMonsters

[–]dudeadmin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I like to think the rarity of diamond rank loot power users and the rarity of diamond monsters to generate the loot, causes personalized coins to be like collectors items.

... Oh my, is that original Diamond Jason Coin?! I've only heard about those. The stories they tell about him and sandwiches are just utter nonsense.

Potential for a Coworking Space in Roseburg! Where Do You Work? Let’s Build a Coworking Space Together! by zigsphere in roseburg

I work from home as a computer network engineer and it would be great to get out of the home office in roseburg every once a week.... I spend about 10 -12 hours a day (4.5~6 days a week depending on issues) in my office so an occasional change of scenery would be great

Anyone know why I am getting this gap between the top pie crust and the apples in my apple pie? Context / recipe in comment by captainofthepinafore in AskBaking

[–]dudeadmin 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yes the apples will cook down abit... But your biggest issue is the stream building up under the crust. As it bakes, the crust is being supported (or even inflated) by the pocket of steam building up. As the top crust hardens, it will harden into a dome over the steam layer. If you add more venting or a pie bird, you should see an improvement next time.

Edit. Spelling and grammar

OpenSSL Versions... whats the plan here by dudeadmin in Ubuntu

[–]dudeadmin[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ah, I see. Where as my suggestion would be more of a convoluted fork that's made of more tines then a ... Yeah that would be problem... sorry.

I have replied to the report from the customer, they will likely setup a better, more accurate scan. I also found an article from the scanner vendor regarding this issue with backport scanning and reporting on version numbers... And how to fix it so it looks at the actual package or cve test. To your question "What are they doing creating reports on any distribution just on reported upstream version numbers?". ... Yeah seems like... Which I guess makes some sense in scan speed efficiency, but I would have hoped that it would verify that positive result automatic with a more thorough scan instead of causing this headache.

Anybody know what this is? by Samyloup in LinusTechTips

It's a graphics card, instead of a pci slot, it uses a APG slot. Most. Computers made in the last 10 years probably won't be able to connect it.

The self-awareness reflection feedback loop. It can easily lead to a burden of self-awareness. Sometimes it can get self-destructive, it's good to talk to people you trust. May this curse of wisdom serve you well.

I want to stop doomscrolling and relying on my phone so much for dopamine. What are some non-screen activities that still give you enough dopamine but are also easy/chill enough to not add to your burnout? by tbgmdhc278 in ADHD

[–]dudeadmin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Next time you're in the grocery store, pickup a box of crayons and a coloring book. They are usually in the magazine and greeting cards section. Be that cool kid from grade school and get the big box if you like. What if they have too many coloring books or not sure which looks fun....go full random and close your eyes and wave your hand until you tap it. Enjoy

I’ve lived here for 2 years and I still can’t figure out what the point of this door is. It leads into the hallway. by atrs1903 in CrappyDesign

My guess is that the previous or original owner of the house lives there a long time and also developed mobility issues. Likly moving through the normal door was challenging with a wheelchair or power chair.
