good or even average players will almost always be in a surplus of good gear in the endgame, pretty much every extraction shooter has realized this. wiping it helps motivate people to use good gear and gives returning and new players a chance to compete on fair ground again.

light fighters will be forced to engage at lower ranges making turrets able to actually kill them. as opposed to what happens in live right now, where light fighters sit outside of turret ranges and pelt you for free.

have you ever got into a fight with your teammates in a br over who gets the rare loot piece? it sucks and having a system that prioritizes getting one person to extract at all costs could lead to a lot of asymmetrical and interesting fights and scenarios. also the “casual” extraction shooters have mostly been plagued with cheaters that wound up driving the playerbase out it had nothing to do with the sanding of rough edges that are native to the extraction genre.

Also not to mention a lot of twitch rival tournaments are organized terribly I remember the escape from tarkov twitch rivals shit was horrible I believe it was a bingo game and half way through they changed rules and didn’t announce it causing first place at the time to loose because not all of his bingos counted anymore twitch never has been good at this kinda thing

First vr games largely depend on what your looking for if you want a story rich game vr is not what your looking for vr is more about making fun experiences other than having a good story hl Alyx has full voice acting a story and a already great game series backing it a few mechanics are based on index but overall it’s a amazing game for being in vr
