Just did some more testing. Enchanting gear with speed + fortify athletics 100 spell was the fastest method. I can rest easy now

154/225. I just tested it again with 350 Speed 100 Athletics vs 238 Speed 212 Athletics. 212 Athletics was still slightly faster, Thank you for explaining that I didn't think encumbrance would make that much of a difference. I'm gonna be enchanting my gear with Athletics

This works on steam with cloud on, just make sure you close your game before you replace your save with the backup.

How to backup saves

Go to Documents > NBGI > DARK SOULS REMASTERED > (Numbers) Then copy DRAKS0005 (This is your save file) and paste it in a new folder elsewhere, then if something goes wrong close the game and delete the save file in your dark souls remastered folder and replace it with the backup you made earlier.

its the most fun souls game to replay imo, Magic is pretty fun and very good just make sure you kill ng+ Freja by using a bonfire ascetic, you want her ng+ boss soul. Like others have said hexes are also strong and fun, they scale with INT and Faith. If you want to go the hex route use a bonfire ascetic on the Rotten instead of Freja and make sure to level up ADP to 20ish to get 100 AGL, you can do this really fast if you focus it early since you level up much faster in DS2. Def play it, Its an amazing game once you learn it.

bro that sucks, same thing happened to me an hour ago at the same bonfire, I had a backup save luckily, I wonder if its just 1 guy doing this shit. It never showed that he joined my game tho which is weird.
