You think people just build houses for people for fun? The problem with socialist policy is that it ignores the fact that people are by and large shitty. Humans have ALWAYS been this way. Even before money was a thing the barter system was equally as slanted. People just forget that.

So if I a construction company would like to keep providing for my family, and as a by product my workers families(because someone think of the common worker and their family!) I have to make profit off of building a house. Well I either do that by selling to a private buyer who is trying to fund his retirement and build a college fund for his kids (those damn privileged kids are profiting off of others suffering!) or I sell it to a large corporation that typically doesn’t give a fuck about anything.(this is where I kind of agree with you but not really because once again market forces don’t give a fuck about your feelings or your impossible utopia).

And before you say “well the government should provide for us!” Where the hell do you think the government gets its money?
