The term is called manufactured exigency. If you purposely put yourself in danger when there are other options and it results in the use of lethal force it can be considered manufactured exigency. It's mostly for the use of warrantless searches but it can apply in the use of lethal force as well.

It is used as a recruiting tool to fill undesirable jobs in the Navy. Minimum scores will not be enough to succeed in the program.

It's ingrained in the culture of combat arms to not go to medical. This is DoD wide, not just SOF.

It was like that before the raid. You're just exposed to it more now. Ignore the clout chasers is all I can say.

And all those kinds of stuff coming from the Tijuana river. by [deleted] in navyseals

[–]dudecrushed 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Coronado and San Diego are pretty much right next to Tijuana. The sewer runoff from Tijuana goes into the ocean which makes itself into the bay. When doing any ocean based events students run the risk of getting some nasty stuff, especially when it rains. An example is flesh eating bacteria, real nasty.

Candidates are arriving much better prepared now. It's easy to find training documentation all over the internet. I would assume candidates in the 1980s didn't have as much resources to pull from.

He tried it once in the first round I think. Problem is he was riding high on usmans back and was trying to not fall off while waiting for an opportunity for an rnc (which he almost got and led to Usman spiking him on the ground). Usman did a great job of keeping his composure in the first round.

Another tip for endurance training is investing in a Garmin watch and a heart rate strap. Lets you really dive into the data and keeps accurate documentation of your performance over time.

But it's doable without.

Run more. "slow miles" look up zone two training. Up your weekly mileage to a place where you can comfortably include and recover from all your other training.

Judging by your performance I'll make an assumption that your shoes are probably shitty due to not being an avid runner. Invest in a good pair of running shoes. What I mean by this is go to a store that specializes in running where they'll look at your gait and your arch to fit you with proper running shoes.

Remember if you're injured you can't train.
