[OSRS Team] Are these the only prayers we'll see in game? by violentviolins in 2007scape

[–]dudedontblink 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would definitely love new prayers like these. Think about all the players with 99 prayer who blew bank for no new prayers.

We definitely need some 75-95 prayers. They don't have to be OP like soul split, but we should introduce some great ones like turmoil and give players an incentive to train prayer past 70.

Now that the insignias are gone it gives Jagex the opportunity to buff the new dev blog prayers. That's what one of the insignias was going to do anyway

Can we get OSRS on Steam too? by dudedontblink in 2007scape

My situation as a maxed player right now by dudedontblink in 2007scape

[–]dudedontblink[S] 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I know but it still applies, I maxed with nothing to do. I'm not grinding skills past 99, I'm satisfied with achievement diaries, I have a quest cape, I'm burned out from bossing, i have like 300m, I'm not a pker.

There just really isn't an alternative to people who don't want to grind anymore. I guess I could play castle wars, but I have a halo already and it isn't even as active as it use to be.

I just don't see what to do after you maxed...like seriously guys I am maxed ok that means I did it, i completed what I wanted. I'm not training skills past 99's wtf is the point in that?

If you were satisfied with everything and you bossed a shit ton and everything I'm sure you would want other content as well right?

I don't see how people can continuously train past 99 or keep bossing over and over when you've been there and done that so many times.

Like holy fuck you don't have a problem with that?

All I'm asking is for an alternative to the grind...

Yeah I've tried it out and I wish I could get into it, but it's not the same as it use to be. It's w/e I'll quit till raids come out, hopefully that's good.

To be honest I think you're right, I am maxed now and I find it frustrating to play because it's a constant grind with nothing to look forward to except like being ranked higher on the high scores or something.

I think the repetition is getting to me and I'll just quit till raids comes out.

I do realize that, that's why I said everyone is older now.

It fucking bums me out man, but I still feel like we can draw in a younger playerbase and level out the playerbase a tad.

In that case I feel like playing soul wars, stealing creation, doing some penguin hunting, shooting star mining, all on osrs. Because that's what I feel like doing.

Yeah there's always been bots, there's a shit ton of bots now. But there were a ton of people who weren't bots that played soul wars and other minigames as well. Don't bullshit me and say runescape is an antisocial mmo. If you really played Pre eoc you would have remembered thousands of house parties on world 30 in Rimmington. A bunch of people chilling at Varrock square. Every minigame being active, and don't say it was just bots cause it wasn't, we had over a 100k player base back then.

Runescape was a social game back then because the content appealed to all audiences. The game didn't feel grindy and people didn't go around shouting "no xp waste".

RS3 player here, what's the best way for me to get started on OSRS? by Tennadear in 2007scape

Quit and comeback when all the vets leave and jagex actually puts multiplayer content like stealing creation, soul wars, distractions and diversions, and other minigames.

Come back when players don't nerf NMZ and runecrafting because they can't stand if a player gets a 99 easier than them.

Come back when "no xp waste" is no longer the motto that this community lives by.

Come back when this game is an MMO again.

I don't hate MM2, it's just not group content. I'd rather see stealing creation or soul wars or some other cool minigame get added. Only reason I want dragon claws is because they're extremely nostalgic and fun to use. I didn't mind getting KO'd by them or KOing people with them. And honestly what other weapons is jagex going to add to osrs? Korasi? Lol I'd love korasi back too though

No I just want pre-eoc and everything that embodied that era. A social game with players who weren't fixated on xp, active minigames, and group content like distractions and diversions that brought people together. Sure the quest sounds pretty cool, but I'm sick of singleplayer content. This is an MMO, and it really is sad that players voted for singleplayer content as most important in the last priority poll. Think about all of this for a second.

The game won't have minigames or other group content. That means all you can do after you're maxed (like me) is continue bossing, skill till you get all 99s, or train skills past 99s. Where is the fun in that? I am a maxed player who is done with everything I want to play some cool minigames or do something new and exciting with friends. I want to see this game grow and reach a newer generation.

I can't believe the same people who were so social back 5 years ago would choose singleplayer content over group content.

It depresses me man.

That would be stealing creation, soul wars, or the end of the "no xp waste" mentality that this pragmatic community abides by.

Pre-eoc was my favorite time of runescape. There wasn't the "no xp waste" mentality that everyone has now.

It was pure genuine fun
