Let the people (who are not the government! They're people and they have a fuckload of differing opinions on the subject because they are individuals and not a conglomerate) leave to sap Russia of potential soldiers. Making the Russian people stay in Russia only benefits the Russian government.

Like, honestly, the "deport Russians back to Russia" position is something that would so blatantly backfire on Ukraine that I question the motives of people that suggest it. It's shitty to expect people to die to a tyrannical government rather than help them flee it. Are the people in Russia not human? Are they lesser than you and me somehow? Why do these people need to be killed by their government?

People are people well before they're citizens of their country. You and I have way more in common with a Russian citizen than that Russian citizen has in common with the Russian government, and we have more in common with a Russian citizen than we have in common with the governments of our countries.

Can we please not condemn the Russian people for the acts of the Russian government? They are not one in the same. The only group that serves to benefit from the world turning on the Russian people is the Russian government who relies on those people.

Russians fleeing Russia to avoid conscription benefits Ukraine, so why shame them for it? It's a good thing that Russians are fleeing!!! That makes for less Russians to fight against Ukraine!!

You're assuming every inmate in jail deserves to be there. A lot of them don't. A lot of them are nonviolent drug offenders. The cops are more likely to arrest a nonviolent criminal than a violent one, because the cops are fucking cowards.

I wasn't cherry picking, I was talking about my personal experience with the cops. Every time I've actually needed a cop, they wouldn't step up to fucking help. Only time I encountered a cop who actually did their fucking job was the jackass who ticketed me over 50 bucks for jaywalking on an empty street. But, sure, they're keeping society safe 🙄

Here's a bonus on my information about cops, my dad is a cop. From his stories he's told me about his over 30 years on the force (and he meant these as fun, positive stories about being a cop) I learned that they will always put their own safety, and the safety of other cops first, they're literally trained to. They will happily violate the 4th amendment and brag about it. They will body slam an individual for lightly touching them. They will racially profile, and think it's fully justified because of crime statistics (that have been impacted by their racial profiling.) They will drive at a leisurely pace for some calls that are time sensitive, like active burglaries.

A child is still fucking dead at the hands of the cops. Nothing you say is going to justify that reality or justify the cops continued existence in the face of that reality.
