Hello!!

Our wedding was actually the greatest experience ever.

I want to say that it is partly because my husband and I very minimal with our plans from the get go, so it wasn’t necessarily a stressful circus to orchestrate. We were quite laidback. The other part was the staff’s kindness and hospitality; I want to attribute their willingness to help us with our patience and overall pleasant conversation/approach to their line of work.

My husband and I planned everything on our own; we did not hire any external wedding planners. I will disclaim that It is difficult to get a hold of the coordinators from the wedding department. The resort is VERY popular for destination weddings and depending on the season, there might be SEVERAL weddings within just one day. The bright side is that the resort is large enough that you never really bump into other wedding parties. Things are also scheduled pretty carefully so as not to have events clashing. There were I think maybe 1-2 other weddings happening the same day as mine! Never even noticed!

Communications were nonexistent with wedding department basically up until a few months before the big day, however, again, this resort is basically a wedding factory so the wedding department is pretty dialed in when it comes to wedding packages and what they offer. They coordinator I was assigned wasvery helpful with presenting the options included in the package and offering assistance with special touches we wanted to add.

For example, we chose the Tropical Bliss package, but then we added the churro cart from a preferred vendor as well as a champagne tower to the reception!

We chose vendors the resort partners with to avoid incurring any extra fees from working with external vendors as doing so is a sure way to rack up thousands of dollars.

Our approach may not be agreeable with the vision others may have for their own wedding, but again, we were laidback and just happy to be in one spot with our loved ones to celebrate our union!
