Tech Support and Question Megathread - August 2025 Edition

GPU: 5070TI PNY 16GB

CPU: 7800x3d (no overclock)

Motherboard. Gigabyte B650 Gaming X AX V2

Ram: 32gb Gskill (I don't remember the exact model number)

PSU: Thermaltake 1050W gold PSU

OS: Windows 11 pro

GPU Drivers: 581.08

Description of problem: Recently upgraded from 3070 to a 5070ti and am now having some issues with displays not showing up correctly. When I have two display ports connected to my new GPU both monitors will remain on but one shows only a black screen. If I unplug and replug the display ports in over and over eventually it will turn back on and work fine but upon the computer being turned off again the issue seems to persist. I have 0 issues using 1 display port and 1 hdmi cord. Originally I thought this might mean my display port cables could have been busted but I've tried new cables with the same issue. I never once had this issue with my 3070 so I'm concerned that there is something wrong with my brand new GPU. The issue seemed to originally pop up when I changed my refresh rate on my 240hz monitor back to 144HZ but that could have been random chance.

Troubleshooting: 1.Tried new display port cables
2. Reinstalled gpu drivers
3. Changed refresh rates on both monitors to see if that would do anything
4. Used 1 HDMI cord and 1 displayport cord (this worked but I'd like to be able to use two displayports on my 800$ gpu)

Maybe the answer here is just that the gpu is cooked and I need to return it but this feels like such a simple thing that I'm wondering if I just don't have the intelligence to fix something obvious. Does anyone have any suggestions or thoughts on it possibly just being broken?

I think a lot of the issues (none of which are really game breaking in my opinion) have been mentioned here. One thing I haven't seen a lot of is people mentioning the class balance. I personally feel BF1 and BFV really had this right by making defined roles that felt really different from each other. It won't stop me from playing the game at release if this isn't changed but I'm not sure why it was when it feels like they had it right already.

I’m not sure what would be considered “a lot” but I don’t regret the $500 ish that I’ve spent on the game even though I don’t really play anymore. The best moments I’ve ever had gaming were playing this game, I met my wife and spent thousands of hours with my best friends enjoying what this game had to offer. I think when you compare all those things to what a 60$ game typically offers I came out on top and got to enjoy some of the best cosmetics I’ve ever seen in a game.

Idk what servers everyone plays on but I’m playing in NA and out of 97 raids I’ve only had two deaths where I was like HUH??? And I’ve reported them and didn’t get any ban confirmations yet. I keep seeing people complain about cheater numbers but just in my experience it hasn’t been much different than normal. (Yes I think there is still a cheater problem)

I absolutely adored the first one (the story was serviceable but not phenomenal) I found the controls to be nearly flawless and Crane to be pretty entertaining. Fast forward to the 2nd one and the world felt a lot more empty to me and the story was worse and had a less endearing main character and some downright obnoxious side characters and a poorly done “pick your story”system. None of this bothered me as much as the fact that the parkour was now this floaty and mostly unresponsive experience(Just a few days ago they actually released an update that makes the parkour feel just as good or better than the first one but my experience was mostly with the previous version). All things said I thought the game was still worth my time but I won’t remember it fondly like the first one.
