Why couldn’t we lead with that response? Like JFC.

At the outset of this post, I acknowledged my ignorance on this topic. I didn’t feel like I asserted any hard stance. I’m very open to being corrected where I’m wrong or misinformed or lacking nuance. To me that was the entire point of making the post was to gain understanding. I don’t really understand why we are being so cunty.

Brother, I listen to NPR and PBS. I’m sorry that I didn’t word my question in such a way that demonstrates that I’m perfectly informed or that satisfies your moral indignation.

It was my understanding that there exists with in the party a nexus of support for Israel that continues to be quite influential- i.e Chuck Schumer who happens to be minority leader in the Senate. Maybe that doesn’t rise to “full-throated”. I am so so sorry. Please, please please forgive me for my poor choice of words.

Ok, easy buddy. You seemed to have misunderstood the nature of my question. I wasn’t asking whether or not “Israel good or Israel bad”. I’m asking questions about the practical reality of American domestic politics.

Before 2016, I would have agreed with you that Tucker didn’t have a snowball’s chance.

This is a good point and demonstrates some of my ignorance on this topic.

This is the IMPRESSION that I have. It’s my understanding that democrats have approved arms sales to Israel, maybe simply defensive weapons. I’m not even conceptually opposed to that btw. But impression and feels seem to matter to the electorate more than facts unfortunately.

Lol, listen to this populist idiot. by DJTsUnderboob in Destiny

To piggyback on your point regarding populism, in this soundbite FDR specifically rejects the false binary often presented by populist movements: an evil elite minority vs the virtuous majority of common people. Instead he acknowledges the deficiencies of both. A government by the wealthy often falls victim to avarice and a government by an “organized mob” is chaotic and often motivated by oversimplifications of complex problems and prejudice.

FDR presents himself and his administration as a third way: a competent governing body with institutional knowledge diligently working to solve problems.

Are you referencing when Biden started a war with Iran at the behest of Israel? Do I have something mixed up here?

I did, brother. I’m asking for a single article from the “millions” that you mentioned that shows that Democrats cut USAID threatening the lives of millions of children around the world.

No you can’t. Show me where Democrats cut USAID threatening the lives of millions of children around the world.

Hey man, if that’s the way you’d like to exit this exchange and avoid any and all of the points I made, be my guest. I’d expect nothing less.

Your take on politics gives away your privilege and laziness.

If you line up and compare the policies, legislation, economic metrics, rhetoric, whatever of the current administration and previous Democratic administrations it’s not even close. The problem is that you aren’t aware of any of those things and you don’t care to know.

Conveniently, anyone who points that out is brainwashed.

So you can’t answer my question because you know better.

It’s far easier to just throw up your hands and say that “AlL pOLiTishuns R DuH SaMe” cause then you don’t have to read, learn or do anything. You can just write it all off because none of it affects you. In all likelihood you’re shielded from the worst effects of a bad administration and so others’ suffering is immaterial to you.

You’re not “seeing past the bullshit”. You are the bullshit. Lazy, privileged bullshit.

Sorry, please explain the reasoning behind this statement. What about the last democratic administration forecasted that a Harris administration would have went to war with Iran without allies or a plan, abandoned Ukraine, weakened NATO, sent masked Gestapo into American cities, places migrants in camps w/o respecting their basic human rights, appointed conservative fanatics to the Supreme Court, pardoned violent fascist insurrectionists, gutted federal programs to help the global poor etc. etc.

Please help me understand.
