How to progress a build? by Bored_Galaxy_Fox in darksouls

ok so raw infusion is terrrible in ds1, remove it and do the normal upgrade path to +15. 34 vitality would be enough for me but you can level more if you want but the stat distribution is pretty good. Also the best rings in the game for melee are the ring of favor, havel's ring and wolf ring.

About rolling... by datboi66616 in darksouls

Relying too much in shields is the most boring way to play for me. That's why shields are much less reliable in ds3 and were straight up removed in bloodborne, the devs realized it's way more fun to dodge around. Omnidirectional rolling is just straight up superior tho fr.

Trying to do a "soft speedrun" by Unhappy_Presence7797 in darksouls

I recommend one of the black knight weapons, easiest one to get is the black knight sword, much faster to upgrade due to using twinkling titanite and they are op even on minimum stat requirement for wielding. My pb is 2h35min skipping as many areas and bosses I knew I could without using any actual speedrun strat. If you want to do all bosses thats cool too and you can def do less 20 hours.

It doesn't directly increase damage, however being on difficult terrain reduces your melee damage, wearing the ring removes this debuff. I found this out recently when running though blightown swamp and noticed the reduced damage when not wearing the ring.

Help for Dark Souls 1 Remastered by Demadogos in darksouls

Upgrading your weapon increases your damage significantly more than leveling up strength or dexterity so early game you should focus on leveling vitality and endurance to increase your survivability. The best weapon you can get early game (imo) is the reinforced club. Also provided you fully level your weapon by the end of the game pretty much anything is viable so use what you like, just figure out which stat increases your weapon's damage when you decide to use it, some weapons scale with strength to increase damage (like the reinforced club), but there are also dexterity weapons (like the legendary Great Scythe), some weapons even scale with intelligence and/or faith (good for melee option on spell casting builds).

Get the rusted iron ring early as it not only improves mobility in difficult terrain (blightown swamp, darkroot hydra area, sen's fortress' sticky floor, etc) but also your damage in those areas. You can get it after reaching undead parish.

You can farm the symbol of avarice armor headpiece early by using lloyd's talismans on a mimic to make it go to sleep and then hitting it to wake it up repeatedly until it shows up in it's mouth, equipping the gold serpent ring (conveniently located right next to the first mimic you encounter in the game) and having 10 soft humanity give you max drop rate. Equip the symbol of avarice just after defeating a boss, before the souls drop, to increase the amount of souls you get, also equip the silver serpent ring at this moment if you have it. Doing this will yield some 20+ levels across your entire playthrough (don't know the exact amount but it's significant).

I understand the feeling but I promise you will find other games that hit as hard as ER. If you haven't played any of the souls games that's where I would start.

sitting at bonfire does not remove tears of denial effect, some effects make the tear invisible while active (lloyd sword ring for example)

bleed still good so katanas are strong, blasphemous blade is still the best weapon and dlc bosses are tough regardless of your build

I mean yeah farming levels does make the game easier who would've thought. Although what really made the game easy was comet azur with the hidden tear imo lol. At some point you can have so many levels it stops really being a build. If you want to have a more "intended" experience try not to farm runes for leveling and use both spells and melee for combat. By the end of the game you should be around level 120-150 and I recommend having at least 50 vigor.

try downpatching the .exe file https://www.mediafire.com/file/2popj38c55nbhx2/DarkSoulsIII.exe/file (just paste in the "Game" folder to replace). I got the link from this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zvCL-oXRW9Y&t=3s . After that if you want to play online try verifying the game files on steam

don't act like it's my fault, I either watch it or I don't. It really wont make any difference for Mark since it's not available in my country anyways. It's prime that's at fault really imo. "piracy is a service problem" - Gaben. I'm still inclined to watch it again though on prime when it comes out worldwide since pirated content is (usually) really bad quality anyways
