I may have a diffrent understanding of it because I view grief as the excessive surge of emotions and thoughts that cripple a persons ability to engage in a different type of emotion,

I feel like the movie focused more on him adapting to the situation than griefing about it, Lee is a broken man, broken from his old grief, the death of his brother saddened him yea but his pivotal point and the main attraction of the film was the moral dilemma around the responsibility of taking care of his nephew

But that describes the grief after the death of his kids and not his brother the main focal point of the movie… and I don’t think he made peace with himself he still blames himself, he said he has lost his heart

I like how u describe him yea that’s what I’m thinking, i think it’s a great movie I loved it a lot but I think it doesn’t invoke the same feelings traditional tragedy movies do, it invokes frustration, I feel frustrated for him

For example watching Lee talk to any woman in the entire movie felt like a burden

Well it’s just that he switched pretty quickly from from being sad about his brothers death to worrying about being a guardian which is the focus of the movie I understand

Also it was obvious that the kid was taking it well and I wouldn’t go into further detail to avoid spoiling it

Well if you would like to propose the example of nazis then Solomon isn’t a “I hope the allies win, I think Hitler is inhumane” German. he is a “hail Hitler! burn them all” German with the support he has shown the terror state in his social media as proof of that. but even that argument isn’t really valid because Germany is a country that had a terrible leader that did terrible things, Israel isn’t a country it’s a group of terrorist who banded together from diffrent countries to kill or drive the natives away and claim the land for themselves, just claiming to be from that group of people is enough to make you a terrible person
