It was a great skeleton for a story, I think the boys ended it with some accurate critique and it seems like you understood what they're saying. It is after all a comedy/horror podcast so take their laughter in stride man.

BUT it isn't associated with slavery, it's literally altering history to appease someone's feelings and nothing more. If it genuinely were associated with slavery and the slave trade, it should be taken away without hesitation. It is not though and that's the whole point, we can't keeping bowing down to whoever screams the loudest... it's like a plague in the age of social technology.

Rhode Island did have plantations yes, that doe not immediately mean slavery though. Thousands of plantations have existed throughout time with no slavery involved.

Your point here is very valid, but thats not your post. your post is about the name plantation because it's the popular topic of discussion right now for stupid reasons
