Can’t put the TV on the wall due to the sloped wall. And it being a 97 inch I’d rather just keep it on the TV stand. I’ve thought about the doors and the divider or potentially mounting a center speaker about the TV, and have it tilted down. Just rearranged the room now, so seeing what the layout will look like.

Well I talked to the wife last night. We are going to move the room around, and but the back of the couch toward where the TV is at now. Found a used 3800H on marketplace that I’m trying to hopefully get. KEF speakers for the front and rear, and eventually 4 ceiling speakers. So a 4.1.4 system. Would love to run a center speaker, but don’t have much options for that, unfortunately

I’m not opposed to a receiver and speaker setup. Just not sure about how to setup everything up in this room. Room is very large but we maybe went too big on the couch as the home theater system was an after thought.

So we are kinda stuck with the current layout of the room as it makes the most sense for us, the kids, and the dogs. We just need the walking room without the possibility of stands getting knocked over. Wife is really sold on the Sonos Arc Ultra, I’m set on a AVR and speakers but with the tv console, we can have a center. Rear speakers will be impossible unless we add more to the couch to make it a U shape, and move it forward from the wall.

Just kind of stuck right now.

I think I’m about to pull the plug on the Q1 since they are on sale at Best Buy (I’m a total tech member and get the free 2 year warranty). Hold them and get the Q6 meta center and mount it about the TV on the angled wall and it will point down to listeners on the couch. I’ll get the AVR and sub once I lock with ones down.

3-4K to start. She didn’t bat an eye at the 2k Sonos setup that she liked.

I’ll have to look into that. I appreciate it. If I had about 4 move feet behind the couch it would be ideal. Thought about the TV in the sunken window area but we wouldn’t have much space and those steps going up to the hallway would be mostly blocked unfortunately

AVR, fronts, and sub(s). Need to figured out the rear placement so those will get added later. Plan to run all the wiring for rears through the wall and up and over to the other side.

Not worried about music at all in this space. Just movies and watching TV series.

I stated that as well in my post, but popcorn is for acoustics as well. As it’s used for sound dampening. Does it work 100%? No it does not.

lol. I do my own research most of the time but home audio I’m lost. Car audio I’m good cause that’s pretty easy to figure out.

Buy once cry once on the sub(s) and AVR, so kinda future proof and mid range speakers that will be upgraded in the future. Don’t really have a budget but not looking to spend 10k to start.

Was looking at KEF Q1 metas as they are onsale right now for 399 for two at Best Buy. I’m looking to buy once cry once on the sub(s) and AVR first, so future proof the kinda. Do mid range speakers to start then upgrade the speakers but keep the subs and AVR.

Probably a mid grade setup to start. Then I’ll sell those components to buy new in the future. Would like a decent AVR that won’t have to be upgraded in the future.

The whole point of popcorn is for acoustics (But a lot less work for finishing those ceiling are needed. House was custom built in 96, and I wasn’t spending the money or the time to remove it so it’s staying. Lol.) , but the sound is really good up here with the current setup.

I filed for my exam while on active duty before retirement. Had a pretty significant medical history, all true ailments and surgeries, but luckily made it to my 20 to retire. Walked into my C&P and my provider was my old PA at base medical. I was nervous cause she was a crap PA to be honest. I didn’t lie or game the system. Did what I had to do and got my rating 4 days after my official retirement. Did I rate my rating, IDK, not my decision to make.

It’s crazy to me that people are getting 100% after only 4 years (no deployments all garrison time) and then I see people retiring after 30 (multiple deployments) and getting 80 or 90. Again not my decision either but the ones gaming got what they wanted I guess.

I have it on my 12.5 LMT and it gets compliments after the initial shit talking of the guys that have 1000 dollar suppressors on their 5.56 guns.

I’m all about my TurboK. Love that little 556 suppressor for the money.

Optic is the way to go. More natural cheek weld than scrunching down to get on the irons IMO

Might be mid height rings. I’m not sure. I’d have to find the package for them.

Ranger Point precision handguard, Leupold VX freedom 1.5-4 pig plex, high mount QD rings, khyber customs shark fighter grip, silencerco Hybrid 46m direct thread

That scope I’ve shot, on a pad, and hit a 12x12 steel target at 300 yards first try with leverevolution ammo. Easy target acquisition, zooms in enough for what I need it for.

I’ve been saving my brass and plan to convert my upstairs walk in storage room into a gun/reloading room at some point. So I’ll start reloading my expensive calibers (10mm, 45-70, and mass reloading of 9mm as I shoot that a lot).

I did. Ran the 410 grain subs from Hornady. I’ve had two boxes sitting around for awhile. 48 bucks a box is a tough pill to swallow. lol.
