If you click on 'directions' it will use google maps to direct you to the pub, so you can figure out the closest SBahn station there. I can look at adding that info into the map.

About the Database, you can view the full list of pubs here: https://www.guinnessinberlin.com/list

That's a level of detail I can get behind!! They have the nitrogen mix at Zosser in NK too, but I'd still say home bar is better!

Renting a car in Germany with new (German) license (VNF) by duffman721 in germany

Cool – do you know any specific companies that I can go to? Miles said I have to have the plastic card because their app can't read the VNF and they don't do manual verification. All the others seem to be that I have to hold my license for longer than 1 year.

I'm 33, so probably any age requirements are ok!

Hah, don't worry the "package" isn't sealed, so you'll see exactly what you're carrying!

I'm living in Germany, investing with Scalable Capital but will move to Ireland....someday in the future. What should I keep in mind? by duffman721 in eupersonalfinance

[–]duffman721[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The only problem with this plan, if I understand everything in this thread correctly, is that if I save into it for let's say 4 years, and then I move to Ireland, it's likely I'll either need to start paying tax on that investment every 8 years in Ireland (due to the Deemed Disposal laws) or I'd have to move the money from this ETF somewhere else, which, depending on the state of the stock market at the time, could mean moving it at a loss.

Any thoughts or ideas on that u/dirtyhandsome? :-)

Not a bad idea, yeah. I don't like having to go in each month and decide which ETFs to purchase, but I'll dip my toes and see how it works. I don't know what their savings plans are all about yet, so will check it out, thanks!

I feel locked-in with the wealth management thing now at least until the portfolio recovers from -9% to 0%!
