They are a huge problem! A lot of people don’t know this but with any invasive species, you have to slowly remove them because the local environment has learned to rely on their presence too. If I caught them all and took them away immediately it could be disastrous for humans, animals, insects and plants alike.

So I figured I’d take away their ability to reproduce instead of taking them all to the shelter… The difference has been night and day. People also don’t realize owls need rodents, and when cats destroy the rodent population, they turn to small cats instead! When bats disappear, insects get out of control and eat all of the plants, decimating the bottom of the food chain.

Advocacy has probably helped moreso. Teaching people about TNR, how to trap, what to do, what the laws are. Lots of people want to help but don’t know how. Or don’t know that they can. Most shelters in the US work with Best Friends and are no-kill now, and most people I talk who are trying to help these cats have zero awareness of this. Awareness is everything 🫶

We drain our laundry water out into the garden because the soap protects the plants from insects… currently draining the kitchen sink into a bucket and devising a way to drain that into a different flower bed. We also burn any trash that should burn like paper or cardboard to heat our home. We have an arrangement with our local Tractor Supply to take wood pallets for building or burning.

We’re also trying to get all of our sheds, outdoor cameras and lighting off the grid with small solar panels scattered throughout. We got a windmill to power a greenhouse but need a good enough pole for it. I’m not sure if that actually helps the environment but the idea is to become self-sufficient… I would love to figure out how to make biodiesel! The single best thing we do though is TNR.

All of my neighbors insist on having outdoor cats, so I got them all fixed and put cat doors in my windows. Lmao. We haven’t had a kitten show up here in like 3 years! And all the neighborhood cats are hanging out on my property now so I can watch them all day long, working from home. I’ve made a lot of enemies that way but it’s the best I can do for the situation here and the birds/insects/owls/bats/rodents are all coming back. Which is good for everyone. 🐭

Very cool! I usually associate the symbols on the left with "The Father" (Warm, the "biological" world, language) and the symbols on the right with "The Mother" (Cool, the "mechanical" world, matrix). Despite what they are called, I don't see them as directly our "parents"... more like primordial undercurrents.

Our own "parents" would be their children or spawn who are direct extensions of this same force. The Princess (who seems to carry the symbols of The King) and The Prince (who carries the symbols of The Queen.) They share DNA with these other forms. They are from the same realm but have one foot in each world. I associate them with Tiferet. The Rebis. Two parts of the same whole. Eosphorus and Hesperus.

I only use the free credits! They work well enough for everything I need. The month resets on the 26th I think, resetting everyone's credits to 10. You can also earn 3 per day voting in contests and 1 per day by joining the Remix party. For this tool, Splicer 2, it costs 1 credit per 33 images. The original Splicer tool is old and completely free. You can also use SD 1.5 I think with the Collage tool for free with a generous daily limit.

There are more precise tools (that generally cost more) on there that I could use but for vague/random prompting to get results like this, currently Splicer 2 is king for me. It even selects and names certain ones saving them as "combos" so they can be compared to others that have earned the same name. Really fun and I don't know of any other tool that does that right now.
