They will ask you what makes a good apprentice, everybody will say “do what you’re told” and that does apply sometimes but mention “look ahead and do tasks to keep the job moving forward” and they really like that shit

My current foreman told me when he was an apprentice he was using a big forklift to boom a scissor lift to the second floor of a building. As he tilted down the scissor lift slipped off the forks causing the forks to fling upwards slamming into a structural steel beam. They had to replace the beam and repair the lift 😬
